That's actually fair, he was a legitimate candidate. Could he have kept it up for the second half of the season? probably not.

Lakers come to mind if they miss in free agency.

I could see the Hornets making a play for him too.

I wouldn't be super mad if we got him. He has three more years on his deal

Ball/draft pick
Derozen/Hart
Ingram/Kuzma
Randle/Kuzma
Free agent center. That's a playoff team IMO

DeRozan is a bum. Lakers aren't going to pursue him at all.

If we strike out in free agency this offseason then what are our options? We can roll the money over 1 more year and do what we did this season and sign a bunch of 1 year deals and hope to sign a big named free agent next year but whose out there in the free agency class of 2019? Klay is re-signing w/ the Warriors and Jimmy Butler is likely resigning with the Wolves (and this next contract is gonna take him to 34 yo). The 2019 FA class is very thin.

Starting in the 2020 offseason, our roster starts to become more expensive b/c our young guys will be up for extension. We only have this offseason and the next to have alot of cap space
