You guys are idiots if you don't think Nets new owner wouldn't try to give Lebron, Bosh or Wade 50-60 Mill outta his own pocket even if its not allowed. The dude is straight LOADED & will do anything to get the Nets into a championship-caliber team.

Do you all understand how stupid you sound? I mean, really? As shady as Mikhail Prokhorov's rise to fame and fortune was in Russia, that !@!! isn't going to fly in the NBA. There are 29 other teams who will be watching his every move with a close eye waiting for the moment that he slips up. There are whistle-blowers on every team from the players to the front office. When your livelihood is tied into the (American) business dealings of Prokhorov, you best believe he's going to be on his best behavior. I dunno why you think he's going to be coming into the NBA on some Al Capone !@!!. The Nets have a ton of cap-space and Prokhorov will be playing by the rules...believe that. And as a new owner, he's not going to ruffle any feathers by doing things "under the table." The T-Wolves tried to be sneaky back in the day, and they were HARSHLY penalized. EVERYONE took notice.

It took a long %#$ time for the NBA to approve him buying the Nets, because they went through a massive months long background check to make sure the skeletons in his closet wouldn't pop up and stain the NBA. Stern is firmly up his %#$. These aren't chump change millionaires, they're wealthy men who don't give a damn how much money Prokhorov has, if he tries to get around the rules on their product.

How the %@!# does that have anything to do with him being foreign? Are the dudes that sneak top prospects money and free stuff when their in high school and college foreign? No. You guys are acting like this is some out of this world *#$# that nobody else has thought about except me and Ro0k. Just because the T-Wolves got caught up before doesn't mean that this dude will too. You think Stern got him bugged everywhere he goes? He can just throw Lebron or Wade money and all they have to do is not tell anyone. You don't think there's anything shady going on with this whole summer? You think none of the free agents have a damn clue where they're going? And what's keeping us on our toes is WE don't have a damn clue other than Lebron wearing New York stuff, D-Wade being from Chicago and supposebly William Wesley doing some behind the scenes work with Calipari (and we don't even know what teams he's talked to about that). These are grown men were talking about, they aren't gonna come out and stunt and brag about it to everyone. Favors over turner doesnt make sense with the #2 pick, Iggy has proved this season that he's not a 2 guard and thad can't play 3 full time. Why not get a legit 2 to put next to dre? I would rather lock up my backcourt for the next decade and worry about getting a bruiser big man later in draft or offseason, brand & speights are already playing at the 4, Favors is obvously no center. either try to trade thad to get back in the late lottery or pick up a Bj mullens or Aaron Gray. Granted GTech had horrible guard play this season, im still not sold on favors over turner...turner did everything for his team this season, & last season he still put up great numbers playing off the ball.

Even on the first page of that ET thread, you come off looking foolish. You're making guarantees of how a dude is going to perform when you said you haven't watched him play all that much. Don't even try to backpeddle....its easy tell you just look at stats (hency your comment about looking at his freshman year #'s) and try to come up with an argument....u are about as transparent as that marques houston suit. C'mon now.
i also can guarantee this dude will NOT look too good in the combine or workouts they'll have him go through since most of his points come off just being bigger than the person that's guarding him.
damn i take it back i was looking at his freshman stats
and evan turner doesn't have the handles, vision, athleticism or jumper of stephenson. the two things he does have over him though are maturity and control

could be a steal. Played well in a team concept even as 'the man'. Strong as all hell going to the basket and defends.
Like him more than Willie Warren or Lance for the 2 guards in that range.
