Official NBA Draft Lottery/ 2010 NBA Draft Thread Vol. June 24th 7ET

I want Trevor Booker with one of those 2nd round picks, the combine stats just backed it up for me.

Give me Cousins or Favors (If Turner isn't there). Im not sold on Udoh for a #3 pick...

I'd have more confidence in those 2 (Cousins & Favors).Besides, whoever we draft will end up playing behind Yi this year

More & more everyday, i hope the Sixers draft Favors. Dude just seems like a perfect fit for us

They should. I'd love that frontcourt of Udoh and Lopez. Udoh is NBA ready right now, and the Nets are going to be competing really soon with whatever free agent they sign.
They absolutely SHOULD NOT.

If Favors, Cousins, or Turner is available at #3, one of those guys should be taken....Udoh at #3 is a RIDICULOUS stretch.

Turner won't be there, Demarcus Cousins and Brook Lopez would probably hate eachother, and Favors is NOT ready to start in the NBA right now on a playoff team. They should trade back for Udoh and get another really good player in return for the #3 pick. Whoever they do draft to be that power forward is not going to be getting too many shots, they need to be able to do the dirty work and hustle. Devin Harris, Brook Lopez and whatever free agent they sign will all be averaging around 20 points a game.

   WHAT?

And what do we do with Brand, Speights AND Jason Smith? Hell even Thad is gonna play some 4. None of those guys is gonna bring back as much value as they should right now because Speights and Young both had off years last year under Eddie Jordan. You wanna play Favors at the 5? We draft Favors and then we STILL have nobody that can score the damn ball besides dunking it.

sixers would be better off with cousins.. although that is ideally, since i wouldn't want to put cousins on a  team unless it is a positive WINNING environment

if they can somehow unload brand's contract to minn for something and the 4th pick.. then they should do it

The New Jersey Nets will be a playoff team in the next two years. They'll be one next year if they get any of these max free agents, which I'm sure they will. Prokhorov can throw these dudes like 50 mill under the table in cash and no one would have a clue.

Or maybe, just maybe, you didn't expect the Sixers to have a chance at Turner and now that they do you're supporting him?

...

ESPN.com's blogger/columnist Chris Sheridan says that Beasley will be traded to clear Cap space and that both the Wolves and Nets are 2 likely destinations. Here's what he says a Wolves/Heat trade will look like....

"Miami offers Beasley, Daequan Cook, James Jones, $3 million and a future No. 1 to Minnesota for basically nothing. The Heat thereby clear all their contracts and get their payroll down to zero (besides Wade), and the Wolves get the No. 2 pick of the '08 draft and a future No. 1."

Honestly...the Sixers need to unload Dalembert/Brand before they even think about taking Cousins/Favors. I don't really like the Turner pick either for them with Iggy there, but he's a safer pick than anyone else right now.

looks like the heat goin ALL out for this summer man smh.

Beasley still a very young guy & their giving up already

One max free agent wont make that team a playoff contender.  They were almost the worst team in the history of the sport this year.  One guy isnt going to turn the team round.

Youre suggesting Prokhorov is going to throw these guys money under the table?

i actually think they should just keep dalembert (same for willie green and kapono), because his (their) contract(s) end at the end of next season.. soo they will either be GREAT trade assets or give them much needed cap relief..

the two worst contracts the sixers have are (drum roll please):

                  2010/11          2011/12         2012/13         2013/14
brand:        15,959,099     17,059,726    18,160,354
iggy:           12,345,250     13,531,750    14,718,250    15,904,750

LeBron James makes the Nets a playoff team.

$@@*. So they could basically sign all of the free agents this summer and have a bench of Chris Quinn and a bunch of D-Leaguers? They would still win like every single game.

Philly needs a guard that can get the bigs the ball. What do some of y'all want? Elton Brand making entry passes from the wing?

Dude can't be serious about guys getting 50 %*+$$%# mil under the damn table. There's NO way they'd even get 50g's under the table. C'mon now....

Cousins with a 27.5 vert?

Dude is extremely long so that will help.

Favors overall numbers and measurements are very similar to Dwight Howard's.
I'm sure Favors is still growing as Dwight probably did. Favors is stronger than Dwight at age 18 but slower.
Favors has the size and athleticism to be a very dominate center if not PF.
Derrick Favors  6' 8.75" 6' 10.25" w/shoes 245 7' 4" wingspan 9' 2" reach 31.5 35.5 14 11.74 3.25

Bro that's pocket change for him. I'm not really serious that he'd give them that exact amount but there is DEFINITELY going to be some under the table stuff done with Prokhorov.

What are the chances of Wesley Johnson slipping past Minnesota (#4) and Sacramento (#5) to the Warriors at #6? I would really love for them to take him if Cousins doesn't fall out of the Top 3-5.

I really hope his vert improves after he gets into NBA basketball shape... Dude losing to Cole Aldrich right now...
Nothing he's doing in the next few months is gonna significantly increase his vert.

Nah, are you? This guy is a genius. I believe he came here with the idea that he wants to build the Yankees of basketball.
