Official NBA Draft Lottery/ 2010 NBA Draft Thread Vol. June 24th 7ET

Any Hawks fans out there feel like collaborating for the NT Mock Draft, I'm open for ideas!

If I'm Memphis, I might just take a good look at Bradley for the 12th pick
for what? you already have a tweener in the back court in OJ
That was shortly after the lottery results were revealed. Doesn't seem like he'd have any problem going to Minnesota.
how does that comment mean he doesnt mind playing for the Twolves?

if the Twolves pick Darko Or Al Jefferson over K.Love everyone in the front office should be fired.

Why would he even bother to tweet about Minnesota saying "sorry." if he had an issue with coming here?

I love that my Wizards got the number 1 pick, now we will draft the future best PG in the NBA John Wall. I think Wall and Arenas will be great in the backcourt. Now we can draft a center with our other first rounder and a defensive player with our 2nd round pick.

This.

Why would Kevin Love be moved before Al Jefferson?  Makes no sense to me.

Look for him to be a combo guard. He's going to be a good defender in the league regardless IMO and he can score. We don't have that on our bench.

He won't be my only guy to look at though. I still like Babbitt, James Anderson, George and Henry. If I had to, I would probably pick those guys over Bradley since all of them have size.

i mean if it comes down to you can get more for K.Love to help improve your team then you can Jefferson then go ahead

but if you trade Love because he doesn't play good with Jefferson or Darko on the court then fire EVERYONE in the front office

sounds like OJ Mayo coming out of college to me

It could be a variety of things.

-Them thinking Love has already reached his peak and believe it would be smart to trade him when his value will be its highest
-Them thinking they could get more for Love than they could get for Jefferson
-The whole Darko not meshing well with K. Love thing.

The reason I say that... is because at the end of the year they were sitting Love a lot more than before Darko had arrived, they weren't playing Love as much at the end of games, and also Love hardly started the whole season.

I ain't NaSmatic, but I guess you can call me J. ColEical. Here's my first mock for the year.

1. Washington - John Wall, PG Kentucky
-Best player in the draft, has the potential to turn the franchise around
2. Philadelphia - Evan Turner, SG Ohio State
-Not too far behind Wall, will create a nice young trio with Jrue and Iggy
3. New Jersey - Derrick Favors, PF Georgia Tech
-Nets lose out on Wall, but Favors will be a great fit next to Lopez
4. Minnesota - Wesley Johnson, SF Syracuse
-Maybe not as much potential as Cousins, but is safer and actually fits a huge need
5. Sacramento - DeMarcus Cousins, C Kentucky
-Hawes hasn't proved that he's a starting center in this league, Cousins should be the clear pick here
6. Golden State - Greg Monroe, PF Georgetown
-Maybe the hardest pick to predict in the lottery, Monroe would be as good a fit as anyone at this point
7. Detroit - Hassan Whiteside, C Marshall
-Dumars goes with the higher upside center, Whiteside would bring some much needed shot blocking and youth to the frontcourt
8. L.A. Clippers - Al-Farouq Aminu, SF Wake Forest
-Great fit for the Clips, creates a nice core that compliment each other with EJ and Griffin
9. Utah - Cole Aldrich, C Kansas
-With the Boozer/Okur era coming to an end, it's time to begin the Millsap/Aldrich epoch
10. Indiana - Xavier Henry, SG Kansas
-Xavier will help take away some pressure from Danny, hard working personality that Bird will like
11. New Orleans - Gordon Hayward, SF Butler
-May be a bit of a reach, but can give them the 3 point threat Peja was supposed to be
12. Memphis - Paul George, SF Fresno State
-Athletic forward is a perfect replacement for Rudy
13. Toronto - Ed Davis, PF North Carolina
-Toronto prepares for life after Bosh with Davis, who should atleast bring some more defesne to the frontcourt
14. Houston - Donatas Motiejunas, SF/PF/C Lithuania
-The first international player taken this year, the Rockets can't pass up on Motiejunas' versatility with many questions about the future of their forward positions along with Yao
15. Milwaukee - Patrick Patterson, PF Kentucky
-Patterson can be the David West to Brandon Jenning's Chris Paul
16. Minnesota - Ekpe Udoh, PF/C Baylor
-Minnesota has a few good big man already, but none with the athleticism or defense that Udoh brings
17. Chicago - James Anderson, SG Oklahoma State
-Sharp shooter fills a big need for Chicago, would be a great fit in between Rose and James
18. Miami - Daniel Orton, C Kentucky
-Not the typical Riley pick, but is fills a huge need and may be the best prospect available
19. Boston - Avery Bradley, SG Texas
-Ray Allen could be gone, Bradley fits the Celtic's mold as a strong defender and has great value here
20. San Antonio - Luke Babbitt, SF Nevada
-Richard Jefferson was disappointing this season, Babbitt gives them a legit 3pt threat
21. Oklahoma City - Kevin Seraphin, PF/C Cayenne
-Ibaka worked out pretty well for Presti, Seraphin is his next project
22. Portland - Damion James, SF Texas
-Strong forward brings great effort, can start at SF or backup Aldridge
23. Minnesota - Dominique Jones, SG South Florida
-Minnesota needs someone in their backcourt with his aggressive scoring mentality
24. Atlanta - Elliot Williams, SG Memphis
-Joe Johnson has one foot out the door and Crawford isn't the long term answer
25. Memphis - Eric Bledsoe, PG Kentucky
-Freshman point has a lot of potential and could push Conley for playing time
26. Oklahoma City - Craig Brackins, PF Iowa State
-Athletic power forward could be a perfect fit for the young Thunder
27. New Jersey - Quincy Pondexter, SF Washington
-Experienced forward could see time right away for the Nets, upgrade over Hayes and Hassell
28. Memphis - Larry Sanders, PF VCU
-Good value here, could develop into Randolph's future replacement
29. Orlando - Jordan Crawford, SG Xavier
-Pietrus and Carter did not gain any fans this post season, Crawford could be the future at shooting guard and allow Redick to remain the spark off the bench
30. Washington - Stanley Robinson, SF Conneticut
-Strong defensive player could be the best athlete in the draft next to Wall
31. New Jersey - Solomon Alabi, C Florida State
32. Oklahoma City - Miroslav Raduljica, C Serbia
33. Sacramento - Willie Warren, PG/SG Oklahoma
34. Golden State - Darrington Hobson, SF New Mexico
35. Washington - Gani Lawal, PF Georgia Tech
36. Detroit - Armon Johnson, PG Nevada
37. Milwaukee - Lance Stephenson, SG Cincinnati
38. New York - Jerome Jordan, C Tulsa
39. New York - Devin Ebanks, SF West Virginia
40. Indiana - Art Parakhouski, C Radford
41. Miami - Jarvis Varnado, PF Mississippi State
42. Miami - Terrico White, PG/SG Mississippi
43. L.A. Lakers - Jimmer Fredette, PG Brigham Young
44. Portland - Sylven Landesberg, SG Virginia
45. Minnesota - Charles Garcia, PF Seattle
46. Phoenix - Manny Harris, SG Michigan
47. Milwaukee - Nemanja Bjelica, SF Serbia
48. Miami - Tibor Pleiss, C Germany
49. San Antonio - Paulao Prestes, C Brazil
50. Dallas - Trevor Booker, PF Clemson
51. Oklahoma City - Greivis Vasquez, PG/SG Maryland
52. Boston - De'Sean Butler, SF West Virginia
53. Atlanta - Hamady Ndiaye, C Rutgers
54. L.A. Clippers - Sherron Collins, PG Kansas
55. Utah - Alexey Shved, PG Russia
56. Minnesota - Pablo Aguilar, PF Spain
57. Indiana - Mikhail Torrance, PG/SG Alabama
58. L.A. Lakers - Omar Samhan, C St. Mary's
59. Orlando - Robin Benzing, SF Germany
60. Phoenix - Vladimir Dasic, SF Serbia

But love hasnt reached his peak.

If darko doesnt mesh well with Klove, then S+T Darko and trade Al Jeff, simple. theres a reason why Darko has been moved so many times (even though i thought he would revitalize his career in NY), i just dont see him becoming that big of an impact, at least not as much as it is to trade Kevin Love, IMO.

All i know is, In Morey I Trust!
Yep. Gotta be Favors or Cousins.

One of our SF's more then likely gone in the process.
I trust Morey too, but is losing Ariza (reasonable contract) and Chase (better than expected rookie season) worth it? The Rockets have the depth to make a big trade, but is Favors/Cousins going to help the Rockets win now?

Luis Scola deserves some love. Haha.

Chris Bosh or bust!

Chris Bosh or bust is how i see it as well

Am I the only one that thinks Derrick Caracter is gonna be a steal gem in the 2nd round

I think it was DOWNTOWN43 who said Derrick Caracter would be a Top 10 selection by the end of the MM tournament

He will be a quality late pick up though.

I'm not sold on that dude. He could end up being a major headcase.

i hope stanley robinson can fall to the knicks. he fits in perfect with us because of his athletic ability. especially since i expect dantoni to be back on the run and gun next year

^if the Kings don't get a big with their #5 I wanna see him at 33

then again he might just fizzle out and become another Ike Diogu

hopefully the Kings sign him, he'd be the type of player off the bench we could use

Besides, Dallas already has Matt Carrol/T-rex arms.

Brackins looked pretty good at the combine.

Why does everytime the draft have us getting somebody, its dealing with being Rudy's replacement? We aren't replacing Rudy with George. We need to improve our bench over anything. They even said Brewer was going to replace Rudy and Heisley already stated that the starting five will remain intact.

But, I do expect us to re-sign Rudy. Maybe after a few years, he would be replaced but not right now if thats what they mean.
