Noskey you a fool my dude.

This is a somewhat tricky situation though, basically you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. A big part of me thinks that we should have offered like a 3 year deal or something, the team has already invested so much into him might as well see if he can stay healthy, but a part of me also thinks this guy will never be healthy and will continue to go down as one of the biggest busts. Will be interesting though to see if any other teams offer him contracts and what the Blazers decide to do.

Seems like the smart thing to do considering Oden still has value.

That's the cap hold for a number one pick like Oden. It's not like the Blazers randomly chose to give him $8.8 million.

That's what his rookie pay scale requires, no? It's not the Blazers deciding upon that number, that's what they had to give for a qualifying offer.

For a season? Yeah, go for it and see if he can stay on the court.

But he CANT stay healthy. Ever since high school he hasnt had healthy knees. They're not gonna magically turn into adamantium over this summer. We dont have the Suns training staff to do that for us. Instead we're gonna see Oden on the court for a solid month, month and a half before he jumps 1 foot off the ground and comes down with an exploded knee.

And then we'll sign Sean Marks again.

I can see why they don't want to give up on him yet but
