Official NBA OFF-SEASON Thread - 2011: Free Agency Dec. 9th

Ellis is exactly the kind of player that a team about to admit defeat should never want. He turns into your number one and really only option, and you never win again. And with Arenas still around...?

Biedrins is awful, and his contract is worse. Udoh is already 24.

Terrible.

I believe some players have the ability to change for the better in a winning situation, as we've all seen.

Orlando wouldn't be the right team for Ellis though.

FYI... just because the Knicks WANT Flynn doesn't mean they're the "frontrunner" for Flynn.

We've gone down this road with the Knicks before folks

9/10 after a player has been in the leauge for  X number of years he is what he is.

what is Ellis. a SG in a point guards body that can only score and cant guard anyone at the PG or SG postion. what can he change? can he become a great 6th man for a champship team like jason terry? ya but thats about it.

I don't even like Flynn. Just get rid of TD BasedDON. Let it be the last great thing you do before you go.

Knicks had their chance (to trade for him) when he was still slightly above average before he ended up on the Nets. Taking him now makes not signing back T-Mac nonsensical.

man rumors all over the place, not sure how true this is but just posted on RealGM

The Lakers are trying to get in on the Dwight Howard sweepstakes. Willing to offer Bynum & Odom. More to come.

That's a good trade.
And what's so funny about that Golden State/Orlando trade? Monta is one of the best shooting guards in the game, a lot of teams without centers would take Biedrins as their center and Udoh was the sixth overall pick in the draft last year and could turn out to be a very solid player and a great defender. Add a 2012 1st and 2nd round pick and that's about as decent a trade as they're going to get....

Oh, that's not? K stay with the corpse of Fisher and Pau's soft *#% and don't get anymore athletic.
And look, I don't care what you think of Biedrins, I will trade Spencer Hawes for him anyday of the week
laugh.gif
. THAT guy is a *#%@%%$ bum. He doesn't do anything at all, I will take Darko over him. Philly basically played with 4 people on the floor every game to start out with. Should have kept Dalembert....

Getting Kirk is good but giving up Pau for Josh? Pau can make jumpers. Josh almost still seems like a project. I don't see him working with Kobe at all.

Lakers can get a much better trade if they want to improve at the 1 and their bench if they want to continue to repeat.
