Official NBA OFF-SEASON Thread - 2011: Free Agency Dec. 9th

I think if you stick Josh Smith in a situation where he's around more people that he respects he can be really good. Putting him next to Kobe on a championship caliber team I think you'll get his A-game, and Mike Brown is definitely going to want more defensive players like him. Regardless, there will be changes made to that Laker team and atleast one out of the 3 of Bynum, Pau and Odom will be traded for another piece. They don't really have any other players that teams want.

Reports say that GS/Orl trade was never true. That's a lowball, and any Warrior fan would think so too.

Udoh is actually good despite his bad rookie year stats, in his rookie year he's already established himself as by far the Warriors' best help and interior defender inside...

I've repeated it here, but I do feel that if people actually watched Ellis play, he does a lot more than score. Watch him play, and you realize he doesn't get his shots by chucking and limiting ball movement.  Either way, at this point, he's a more complete player than Stephen Curry. (Of course, he doesn't have the potential to develop into the kind of PG that Curry could)
He's much better than Jason Terry

, he probably can't be the #1 guy on a winning team, but with the right pieces around him he can definitely be a big part of the puzzle.

do you guys think there will be any trades made before the June 30th CBA deadline? I suppose on draft day certain things will happen... but will teams make transactions to dump salary or streamline payroll in advance to the purported CAP decrease?

with the rumors of an Lockout, this years weak draft, the Mavs defending a title
laugh.gif
, the Lakers/celtics getting older, the heat storyline
tired.gif
.
I believe next season is going to be a terrible year for the NBA, Jordan cant comeback to save the league and the 3 point line wont get any closer, and alot of teams will be playing zone defense
Im not exicted at all for next year, this last season probally is going to be the last great one in a while
