I think there getting paid to much. I think people that deserve big money like that is NFL players, boxers, and ufc fighters due to the fact that their taking years off there lifes for their profession. NBA players arent taking years off their lifes for playing in the NBA like fighters and NFL players are.
I would argue some NBA superstars are underpaid (LeBron) but he chose to take less money to team up with other players at max salaries.
Also, it doesn't matter if years are taken off lives or not. What matters is how much a player is worth to the team as an asset. Kobe will be getting near 30 million, and hes probably not worth that much in terms of on court performance, but he is when you factor in marketing and legacy costs. Heck he is probably worth more. You can't just equate how much a player should be payed based on the sport they participate in. The market determines their worth. If no one watched and there were no major tv contracts, they would get paid like WNBA players.
Also in the NBA you only have 12 guys to pay, where in the NFL you need to pay 60. Its alot harder to pay those NFL guys when theres so many to pay. But it mostly comes down to everything besides the actual game being played.
