Personally, I have tried on 998's from different years. But they tend to fit .5 bigger than usual. So I would go a .5 size down when purchasing. Hope this helps. Good luck!

You guys are hard core. Elites, day trippers, B&Bs, B&Ys, 574s, 996s, 990s, 998, I think this forum is obviously Biased toward Nike, but this thread seems to be crammed with a little too much for a new or casual New Balance fan.

I want to add a site to the list. www.2themaxsneakers.nl That is where I got my 990 anis when I lost patience and had given up on finding them at US retail lol. The customer service is top notch, the owner made sure he marked the value down so I didnt get hit with any customs fees. To me that speaks volumes when we have shops stateside that seem to think because they are a hyped brick and mortar they are above treating customers with the respect we deserve.

Just jump in and take your time. I will admit I got tired of the same old stuff from Nike and started just coming in here and seeing what was up, asking questions, learning the ropes. People in here are much more friendly too.
 
You know I'm a newb to NBs as well but I got to admit the Made in the USA/England caught my attention. Then I started seeing more and more dope colorblockings, which led to some dope collabs. Price is on a high end but to be honest after trying out a couple of pairs I was sold on comfort and style. I'm still learning with the sizing with the various different versions as well..

I have only two NBs right now a 993 and 15 something. And the one thing that has always struck me about their shoes (or a Brooks/ASIC) is the quality of a pair. The suede, the leather, stitching, durability, etc. the only thing I'll give Nike is designs, which is important too.

And this thread has already got me to blow more than $500 on NB this week. 2 pairs of 990 Navy, the complete YOTS pack and a 574.

So, what's the big deal about those 1500 Elites posted a page back?

keep in mind guys, all those kicks on Joes are "factory seconds". Anyone with experience on this? Noticeable blemishes, etc.?
