Funny enough, the resell value after use of the Yeezy 2 vs your TV after use, one could argue the Yeezy 2 is a much better investment.

How much did the Paris dunks cost at retail, the undefeated 4's, the eminent 4's? Less than $250, and yet they sell for almost double the resell value of Y2's. $4 and $5 grand sometimes... Why don't you attack those and the people who own them?
You're arguing Paris Dunks, UNDFTD 4s, and eminems compared to Yeezys? UNDFTDs were limited to what, 50 pairs? And Eminems to only friends / family? Yeezys were as someone said "5000 pairs" and had Kanye endorsement along with every celebrity front and center.

The others go for that much if not more due to their limited availability. Surprisingly, Yeezys are majority on hype because there are more pairs than I originally thought.

.... What? I understand that we have resellers in the market... But damn fam-

^ why are you in this thread, other than to act like a douche? You seem to be extremely mad and resentful of other people. Go sit this one out, nobody wants to read your analysis of other males.
I hit the nail right on the head I see. lol.

This is the Yeezy 2 thread, I've owned 5 pairs. I still have 2 pairs.

This isn't the "MR. ROGERS YEEZY 2 THREAD"

Don't like that I'm describing YOU, ignore my posts.

Need a tissue?

You're such a clown. You don't know anyone's situation. Just because you can't afford to wear these shoes doesn't mean others can't. I don't need to sell shoes to pay for anything. I buy what I want.

I have 2 pairs chilling for a 3k come up each later this year.

I dont need the money but as in all financial decisions, why use MY money when i can use someone elses?

Gotta throw my red nose on, I'm late for a gig.

Just had a very nice comeup this past weekend gambling between the casino and baseball. The search begins now sizes 7-8 Solars or Plats whatever legit pair i can come across first.

.... What? I understand that we have resellers in the market... But damn fam-

well he was saying the only thing he's spent that kind of money on is a TV, and i was sayin' once the TV is used, a lot of times it's hard to get decent money for it, much less what you paid... meanwhile, i paid $1350 for my DS solar's last summer and i could not only make my money back after wearing them, but i could actually turn a profit. thus, why i said the shoes are a better investment.

for the record tho, i have no plans to sell any of my yeezy's. was just making a point. i got DS solar's for $1350, and DS plat's for $1400, and got doubles of each colorway of yeezy 1's, which were all free cuz i had a FSR of zens that i flipped and paid for all my pairs (and was still able to hook a couple NTers up with better prices than they were going for at the time).

i was arguing paris dunk's, undefeated's, and eminem's cuz the argument came up on how much yeezy's cost at retail vs. their resell value (those dunk's and jordan's prolly cost penny's to make, and didn't retail for any more than the yeezy's did, in fact it was less, not to mention the materials and quality is WAY different, those J's and dunk's are the usual sub-par nike quality, while yeezy's 1 and 2 are nike's version of a "luxury shoe"). while the limited numbers are more extreme, the yeezy's are way more popular, the number i've always heard is 3K per colorway, which is still very limited, especially considering the demand, that's for the whole planet, and it's the most hyped shoe release of all time.

You just dont get it.

:rollin You just dont get it.

nah, i think it's you that just doesn't get it. you're in here trying to hold everyone else to your own standards on what amounts people should or should not spend on a pair of shoes.

you're not the wallet police.

nor do you know everyone's financial situations, responsibilities, nor reasons for buying what they want (not everyone buys something to "impress other males", plenty of people buy luxury things because they like it, and nothing else).

your opinion is not fact. your personal tastes and financial situation is not the same for others. end of story.

Paris dunks are "the usual sub-par nike quality"?

:rollin

Pass that **** son.

yeah, i've held them in my hands... nothing super special about them other than their limited numbers...

yeezy 1 and 2 is nike's version of a "luxury" shoe... especially the 1's... you simply can't compare the materials and quality of those to those dunk's or J's...

Well I disagree. I own plenty of nice dunks and J's and none of them compare to the quality of Yeezy 1's.

And it's not just me, in the original Yeezy thread we had collectors who had been collecting since the 80's saying the zen's and net's were the best quality shoe they've seen Nike produce. Not to mention they're like slipping your feet into pillows they're so comfortable. They really are the most "luxury" like shoe I've seen from them.

Yeezy 1 and 2's were not made with "luxury" materials and the quality of the yeezy 2 (paint chipping on the solars) is proof of that. I love the shoe from a design point but lets not get carried away here.

I'm still blown away that after having my Yeezy 1's sitting out in open air on a shelf since 4 years ago when they released in 2009, they still put off this sweet smell in my room, which I smell daily just walking to the bathroom... Not even the sweet smell of the leather used on the Supreme Blazers lasts that long or compares...

Even Kal (sneakerpimp2k8) still stands by his statement the Yeezy 1 is the nicest sneaker he's seen from Nike. And like me, he has quite the collection, including OG J's from 85, air max's, SB's, and all kinds of stuff.

To quote his text to me a min ago:

"F hype, the quality build and comfort is superior and second to none and ive had my fair share of shoes man from 85 on... anyone that disagrees is a liar, and the 2s didn't compare."

So we're quoting random "sneaker heads" as proof even though we've owned them ourselves is end all tell all proof? Look, I'm with you, I love the yeezys. The look, colorways, style, everything, but I'm not going to sit here and say that they're the best quality, or even the best shoe nike has ever produced lol.

Well, Kal isn't really just a random sneaker head. Dude has a sick collection, and I value his opinion more than anyone else posting in this thread. But he's just another example.

Really it's down to opinion. But 1's were luxury materials, compared to other nike's. Paris dunks are not on the same level. Hell, I even prefer the leather on the 1's over the leather used on my grey & pink LV Jasper's. I've never seen Nike use a better leather than that, it still smells good after 4 years of wear and sitting in open air. Not to mention the build, cushioning, details, etc...
