I havent played in them but I do have a wood floor and I think tracion will be ok, my YMCAs floor is getting refinished anyway. The zoom units feel thincker than the V, but i dont know how much of that is attributed to the insole.




Conclusion: VI = a better fitting more flexible V

NIKE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!

I wasnt sure how they would top the 4, but they did by making the 5 better fitting, lighter, stronger, and adding a zoom/zoom setup. I honestly didn't believe the 5 could be topped, but once again the guys over in Beaverton come through.

I shot around in del sols for about 45 min., then played 3 competitive games of 1 on 1.

Results:

Excellent traction, comparable to the 4 IMO, mind you the court was refinished over the christmas holiday. The court feel for me is comparable to the ZKII, which is suprising considering they dont feel as low to the ground as the 4 and 5. Better fit than the 5 for sure, I double sock no matter what and they almost felt too small. As light as the 5, although they have a somewhat clunky feel. I didn't use the top lace hole, but tying tight up top was enough to keep my heel in place.

My one issue with this shoe so far is the insole. I know its supposed to mold to your feet, but in the hour+ that I was playing, they showed no sign of any such thing. My arches/heels started hurting after the first game of 1 on 1.

These DEFINATELY have the potential to be better than the 5 once the insole breaks in.

Im playing pick-up tonight and ill post another update after.

Still, believing that was an owl was ridiculous to me.  

Rice University's colors aren't even Green/Yellow and Black, they are Blue/Yellow and Grey

Just got off the phone with eastbay as well.

Dude said they're "on backorder" and they give them two weeks to get the product in, and then they either push the order date or cancel the order.

Eastbay rep ... Is the order accurate you're getting in and everyone who ordered them has their pair spoken for? What date are you guys sending them out? I find it INSANE your customer service department doesn't know this for such a big release on a shoe. I STOPPED going for them because I figured that I had my shoe on lock when I called at 7am and waited on the phone for 45mins to get my size 10 locked in, had I known you didn't even HAVE them yet, and are basically creating hype and orders for no reason, prepare for ****storm.

thanks, would you say the traction is better than the zk5?
and as for the insole molding to your foot, i imagine it will take a few hours/games (real games, not 1 on 1) for it to work.

Jz called eastbay, they told me that im one of the reserved orders that they can fullfill n cuz of the snow storms n wat not, they dont know wen they will recieved the shoes, so fellow nt'ers call n ask if ur order is a reserved order n remember theres nothing we can do about the weather, all we can do is pray that those ppl risking there lives to get the product out to us n u have to understand that its not eastbays fault, its the manufactuer, which is........NIKE!

i might just cancel my eastbay order then. i called yesterday (eastbay) and the cs rep told me that they (kobe 6 grinch) would be shipped out on the following business day (dec 27th). if y'all are getting this info in regards to shipping in 2 weeks, i'm better off cancelling. luckily my wife scored on the raffle yesterday at ntsm, i rocked them all day, love em!
