Y'all nominated some interesting choices, I won't be disappointed with whichever one wins. Might have to read some of these regardless

So close..

So how many votes are we suppose to have??

I'm sure random people can come in here and vote for no reason.

The book in the lead right now should be the winner, depending on the amount of people in the book club..

I wish there was a way for me to lock the votes only to those on the member list.

Asides from bballermarkie, has anyone else picked up A Tale For The Time Being?

If I remember seeing it correctly, was A Tale For The Time Being with the most votes when we hit 15?

I know some of us are college student whose finances may not be as agreeable to buying a buncha books

I came into this wanting to read Norwegian Wood, but I voted for A Tale for the time being.

I say we make it the official book. Others need to chime in to make sure everything's agreeable though.

I guess our very first book for the #NTBookClub will be "A Tale For The Time Being". :Nthat

I'll update the title and the first page.

I'll keep the nominations/descriptions of the other books up on the original post as well.

I can't wait to dive back into the book. I stopped at page 50 and waited for the results of the poll. :lol

Sweet, ima pick up a hard copy from prime lol. halfway point will be the 15th i assume?

Awesome. :smokin

I'm looking at the iBooks version of the book and it says the story contains 752 pages.

I was thinking we can make the "Halfway Point" on p. 384 (This should be under Part 2 of the book, Nao's 5th chapter)

I just checked the calendar and saw that the 17th is exactly 2 weeks away. We can make the discussion on June 17th or 18th.

All this sound cool to you guys?

I want to read Pedagogy Of The Oppressed by Paulo Freire....

Maybe it'll be nominated for the book of the month in the next month or so.

It definitely seemed interesting. 8o

Na I'll read it on my own but I would like if we had a fresh group of four books each month. Maybe the second most votes could carry over.

But that fresh four looks good to me.
