You really need to do your homework on Regan if you think he was less of a devil.

I was born in 85 so I have very little to no firsthand experience with Reagan but I lived through Trump.

I understand that Reagan was a POS but I guess history and textbooks were kind to him.

America voted for Reagan. But he wasn't a devil like Trump.
Literally the first thing that comes to mind are Reaganomics and the war on drugs, and both of those are still very much present today.
Unsurprisingly he also happened to be racist, very much so. He was also a crook but a lot of people somehow bought his co-conspirators' perjured testimony that at no point, Reagan had any knowledge of or involvement in Iran/Contra while it was ongoing.
"A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that is true, but the facts and the evidence say it is not", this man said with a straight face.

Lee Atwater's 1981 quote really sums it up nicely (he also worked in the Reagan WH at this time). I'm sure I don't need to explain which word is being censored.
You start out in 1954 by saying, “******, ******, ******.” By 1968 you can’t say “******”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “******, ******.”

I need to finish watching the last2 episodes but this show was eye opening. I knew he was a douche, but not that much. Or how dumb he was. He was a puppet who would talk to whoever the highest bidder was. He was a piece of **** for real. As his son said, “he said and believed what he did because it was easy. He didn’t want to challenge himself.”

dumb white trash who was easily manipulated in other words.

Trump Justice Department Sought to Block Search of Giuliani Records
Manhattan prosecutors had been prepared to seek a search warrant for electronic records related to powerful Ukrainians who had helped Rudolph Giuliani dig for dirt on the Biden family.

In the final months of the Trump administration, senior Justice Department officials repeatedly sought to block federal prosecutors in Manhattan from taking a crucial step in their investigation into Rudolph W. Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine, delaying a search warrant for some of Mr. Giuliani’s electronic records, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The actions by political appointees at the Justice Department in Washington effectively slowed the investigation as it was gaining momentum last year.

He's most responsible for the crack epidemic.

Sold arms to Iran through Israel. Funneled the funds to Nicaragua to support the Contras in an effort to overthrow the democratic/socialist Sandinista government. This created an alliance between the CIA and Contras and opened the cocaine pipeline to the states. Reagan wanted to support the Contras, but the Dems didn't and controlled congress so they turned off the faucet. Reagan admin said f**k that and the CIA facilitated the Contras trafficking cocaine to the US. Even used CIA owned planes. Also believed that the CIA distributed to the Bloods/Crips in essence handing the baton to them to sell at street level. Sold out the American city to continue a proxy war in Central America.

That new 'Crack' doc on Netflix touches on it a little bit.

I knew about reaganomics, war on drugs, a little bit of Iran/contra and other foreign interference but from the insight in this post/thread and the video I was tagged in he was a racist dumbass puppet with world destructive policy. Wow.

Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. (19 How.) 393 (1857), often referred to as the Dred Scott decision, was a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court in which the Court held that the US Constitution was not meant to include American citizenship for black people, regardless of whether they were enslaved or free, and so the rights and privileges that the Constitution confers upon American citizens could not apply to them.[3][4]

There is one thing that he did and that was with his military build up and money flow into underground resistances in Eastern Europe (a lot into Poland to the Solidarity movement), he accelerated the dismantling of the USSR. That is the only positive I’ll ever give him.

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall!" gets played whenever his name comes up.

I remember Roy Moore saying Obergefell was "even worse" than Dred Scott.
Note: he supported slavery in other remarks by supporting the removal of the 13th amendment.

Yes, because of course legalizing gay marriage is much worse than upholding slavery and denying any and all rights to black people. Truly some next level biblethumping right there.
