as a white guy with racially conservative views, ill continue to be a loyal subscriber.

Do you even know why he said that?

Ygleais been trolling dude on Twitter. Then when some of his fans start saying wild **** often racist **** to dude, Matt would delete the tweet that started it.

Matt been doing that for a while. He did it again recently. And mans finally had it.

Then Ygleais made a post saying it is unfortunate that he doesn't find they Twitter exchanges friendly anymore

And dude is right. Some of Matt fans are ****boys that spew bigot whenever they think their boy is being insulted

He has had to tell his Twitter mob chill before.

hmmm what qualifies as trolling?
my vague understanding is they disagree somewhat about something to do with black voters?

personally I like both Yglesias and Hakeem Jefferson writing.

but I do think "you are using black writer as foil to entertain racist mobs" is an awfully strong claim by Hakeem. i wouldn't toss around casually
but again im part of the mob that enjoy ygelsias writing so im biased.

Matt does this thing where he will quote or mention someone, make a flippant sarcastic comment/joke. He gets a reaction, then he deletes the tweet.

But the person that was the but of the joke's comments are filled with his fans insulting them. Then Matt claims it was all in fun

Jefferson is not the first one to complain about Matt's Twitter behavior. Might just be an example of a higher profile person doing it.

Matt comeback is mainly acting like people just have an issue because he is disagreeing with them, but it is clear people are pointing out that is not the only reason.

Also, Matt should know by now. Mans has had to tell people taking his side on Twitter to chill with the flagrant stuff enough to know that people just won't enjoy him making their mentions filled with nonsense.

But like if you respond to someone and your response is generating a toxic reaction,

isn't the appropriate response to then delete the tweet?

And if like quote tweeting your snarky response to someone is a problem I think approximately 99.9% of twitter users are guilty.

I dunno it all just sounds like special pleading to.me.
Probably why I ignored it.

But again I'm biased, I'm a proud slow boring subscriber.

The thing is, Matt does this often. Sometimes to the same person

Then acts like he doesn't understand why they don't like him

Also, Matt has tons of takes of other Twitter users bad behavior. Yes other people are guilty but Matt has written blog post, long form articles, and Twitter threads talking about the bad behavior that goes on and encouraged on Twitter.

And he does stop to think that maybe he engages in that too.

There are tons of people that do what Matt does for a living, post on Twitter a lot, and tries to make jokes, yet doesn't step in it as often as he does.

Dude is a grown man, that hangs out on Twitter all day, and got a ton of takes about how badly everyone else acts on there. But hardly tries to do better himself.

Zoning reform is part of the solution for improving segregation, but it won't completely fix the issue...

Still need to go in there an be proactive about attacking discrimination.

But still more supply will take a lot of the bite out of discriminatory behavior.

I also don't think "most texans will agree" with him on that.

like what planet do you live on?

this is why i bristle when people complain that im not treating this seriously, or im treating this like it's a game.

if the stakes are as high as people say they are,
why on earth are you running a dead on arrival campaign in Texas on mandatory gun buybacks? :lol

Beto is treating this like it's a game.
