The Bigot be like:

The only plus of this election is seeing the bigots lose their minds after their man loses in a blowout. Can't wait!

please never, ever again compare Trump the Chump to my hero Lloyd Christmas. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn't have predicted. So while I'd love nothing more than to pretend like this comparison isn't happening and to come out here and do my normal election post, it would be dishonest and disingenuous to me to just move on to the next thing like this was all just a bad dream.

:lol

Looks like the battle for Mosul will be starting soon. The Iraqi forces are ready.

I'm gonna have to agree with Trump on publicly announcing strategies in advance of an actual battle.

I get announcing it in advance to make sure as many civilians as possible are aware but this article goes a bit further than that.

Trucks packed with Iraqi soldiers and military vehicles have clogged the roads as forces have moved into place. Tanks, armored vehicles and weaponry have been hauled nearly 250 miles from the capital, Baghdad.

For the first 48 hours, the offensive on the eastern front will be led by Kurdish forces known as peshmerga, Iraqi military officers said.

“Then they will stop,” said Brig. Gen. Haider Obaidi, another commander with Iraq’s special forces. “We’ll start after them, and move after them to support them.”

Federal police and Iraqi army units will move up the main highway from Baghdad, while Shiite militia forces are expected to focus on Tal Afar to the west and the town of Hawijah to the southeast. Kurdish peshmerga forces, Sunni fighters and the Iraqi army will also attack from the north.

The coalition has requested that the airspace be cleared of Iraqi jets, whose air support will be limited to areas where Shiite militias are on the ground, Obaidi said.

“All the sky will be for the coalition,” he added. The western side of the city will be left largely open, which may make for a less protracted fight inside than if it was besieged. “We’ll try to give them an escape to run to Syria,” he said.

Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasoul, a spokesman for the Iraqi military, said that even if the western side is left open, it doesn’t mean a safe escape. “If we do that, then this area will become a killing zone as we target them with our aircraft,” he said.
Where's the logic in publicly announcing your offense strategy?

Because there is no law saying to have to stick to that strategy. And sometimes you want your opponent to know exactly what you're doing to do.

Announcing your strategy before hand is a tactical move just like anything else.

Trump's already starting to fuel a "potential conspiracy" by stating if he loses, it would only be a result of the media and the democrats rigging the election.

Also, I'm looking forward to all of the "patriotic" republicans who will be signing petitions to secede from the USA once Hillary wins.

I suppose. I just don't really see the point here but I'm by no means well versed in military strategy

He started to fuel it pretty early on in his campaign. The fire is burning now, he just keeps pouring extra gasoline on it.

Borderline committing sedition at this point.

Wouldn't surprise me if the US ends up with UK post-Brexit scenarios if/when Trump loses. Massive spike in hate crimes, hate speech and other racist incidents. One thing is certain, there will be a lot of anger and frustration. Whether that turns to violence remains to be seen.

This is the kind of thing that reminds me of the stab in the back myth I was talking about

I would think our military meticulously thinks through the pros and cons of everything they do, at least at the upper levels. In this case, it seems like a logistical disaster to carry out the entire operation covertly as they need to cooperate with so many civilian players that there's no way they could keep it hidden.

As for Trump fueling the conspiracy theory ********, it is a bit scary. The same deplorables will believe in them regardless of this election, but the difference is that now someone very public (Trump the Chump himself) is leading them.

The tactical info our generals and commander in chief reveal to the public are simply what is the nonprioritized info okay to be revealed.

Even if the enemy is watching on tv it don't matter. They're being surveilled 24/7 the majority of the time.

Imagine if Obama had a press conference for Seal Team 6 about to take out Osama Bin Laden a day in advance :lol Then I'll start complaining about giving away the plan.

I really cant fathom that people dont understand this. Our military is ruthless, were not in the business of helping the opposition. Makes zero sense

All the focus on National Election Polls..

Let's look at some state polls

Virginia (Which Trump has conceded by pulling all resources)
Clinton is up +10% on average of 4 polls, and that includes a up 3% outlier in Emerson poll

Pennsylvania:
Clinton is up 7% (With a variance in the Senate race of +4 Toomey & +4 McGinty, and a poll with a tie)

Florida:
According to Gravis & PPP, Rubio is up +8 & +5 over Murphy.
Same Gravis & PPP polls, Hillary is up 4 in both.

There's not going to be much variance in that election. Especially Florida. So to get Florida, Trump has to out pace Clinton by over 4% with only 6 & 8 undecideds respectively. Or win over people voting for Murphy, and not voting Clinton.. Which doesn't seem like a huge demographic

New Mexico:
Has Hillary up 9 from Ipsos (the most reliable poll from that state, the lesser known polls have her up even higher)

Wisconsin: (Trump is not putting resources into Wisconsin
Clinton up 4,7,8,8 in last 4 polls over the last 10 days.

Virginia & New Mexico is a safe Hillary. Wisconsin is likely Hillary. Pennsylvania leans Hillary. Florida is a toss up.

If Hillary takes Florida too.. She can lose NH, OH, MI, NC, IA, CO, NV and the 1 EV in ME and still win with 272 EV
*She's polling really well in Colorado & Michigan just an FYI
