Ohh I never even show my American a passport when I’m in a foreign country. I operate with my Polish passport as my ID for everything. I have an American accent so I can’t get around that but I can force some mroe Eastern European sound into it and sound as an immigrant when I can at times.

Lawyers are trained to think this kind of nonsense is some kind of air tight truism…

I asked Amy O’Donnell, spokeswoman for Texas Alliance for Life, an anti-abortion group, what she thought of this unusual situation.

She replied, “While the penal code in Texas recognizes an unborn child as a person in our state, the Texas Transportation Code does not specify the same. And a child residing in a mother’s womb is not taking up an extra seat. And with only one occupant taking up a seat, the car did not meet the criteria needed to drive in that lane.”

It's a delay tactic. Fire old lawyer, delay trial while searching for new lawyer and letting new lawyer get caught up to speed. The GOP is just killing time waiting for the midterms so they can disband the Jan 6th commission.
well, he spent all his sick time excuse. I believe they are allowed to do this 3 times before the committee or the court would determine that the delay is considered intentional.

If only littering were the sole reason.

I once overheard an American in Mexico complaining that, “they should really learn the language.”

It’s definitely not unheard of to claim you’re Canadian while overseas. Everyone seems to love Canadians.
I can confirm from personal experience that some American tourists pretend to be Canadian. I wouldn’t call it ‘common but it’s certainly a thing. What is very common though is the stigmatization of Americans in general, if anything less so against American tourists.

aepps20 aepps20 I saw you at the gas station the other day. Never knew you could put da hemi in there!

Willingness to leave the country probably is correlate with less nauseous attitudes, but you do have to balance that against proximity. Quite the dilemma.

It’s actually kinda wild how condescending the general view of ‘Americans’ is over here. Virtually everyone, and that’s no exaggeration, seems to view Americans as a whole different breed of extremely dumb humans. If Americans were a race, most here would be extremely racist.

Doesn’t Belgium have a problem with actual racism?

can't blame them Belgians. just watching Jimmy Kimmel's show asking random people trick questions pretty much prove how your typical american are clueless of what's going on around them. it's not even funny but sad. anyways, I believe there are certain prejudice that we have that exists among races. it is just unthinkable that americans devolve into a punchline.

 one of my closest colleagues is in the Ghent area. She never seemed to hold those views, but she’s also been working on global teams with Americans for a while. Shes indifferent but always tells me her father really hates the Germans. He says it’s in their blood to want to take over the world. She usually makes comments about the Dutch if anything. :lol

Well if you look at our fairly recent history in the Democratic Republic of Congo, take a wild guess.
I think every country has a big racism issue at the end of the day, it's hard to compare. It's certainly not as explicit and open as it can be in the US but in practice I doubt there's much of a difference.

what do you expect from a country overrun by braindead liberals.

seriously though -- it becomes clear pretty quickly what kind of tourist somebody is. some people just aren't capable of being humble and respectful.

the State's mandate for management is entirely built on material circumstances.

human beings do not just quietly watch their lives and options crumble.
