My thing with Newsom is that people are falling for the same trap they did with Cuomo.

They see a Democratic governor in a state-controlled by Dems getting things done and things that will translate great as a presidency.

Like what is missing from Biden is a stronger will, not the votes.

But if Biden was governor of Cali, he would look great. If Newsom was president, his presidency would be struggling.

And he would get smeared with "coastal elite" slander that will hurt him.

Dems need a younger Sherrod Brown, or a Jon Fetterman with Pete's mouthpiece, or Andy Beshear with a lot of black friends. And preferably that person knows Spanish

Fetterman is already going up against the Dem establishment. The national Dem caucus promoted his primary challenger because Fetterman doesn't fit the establishment image. Dems can't even get out of their own way.

Fetterman will be (mostly) fine. Most people in PA don't give a **** about that carpetbagger Oz.

There's a reason why the Republican primary race was close.

Fetterman is a LT. Governor. So that means the DNC helped get him elected. The DSCC is behind him and Biden put out a statement right after the primary in support of him.

People really need to cut out most this "establishment" negative talk. Party leadership is trying to get him elected to the Senate.

It is gonna be a red wave year. I don't think any purple state Senate race is a lock. Dems have been racking up near misses in the Senate for the pass three cycles. And that is with them running under better conditions.

A Black woman got almost 25% of the vote in the PA GOP Senate primary against two rich guys.

That shows you how much primary voters didn't give a **** about Oz or McCormick.

From my understanding PA has closed primaries. So even if PA Republicans are not in love with OZ, I think in a midterm year after losing a presidential election Republicans will be excited to vote for anyone with an R next to their name in the general.

The black woman got that vote share because she was the reactionary candidate. Looking at other primaries, not surprising she did well.

I’m trying to figure out how they shot once (missed) and weren’t surrounded by Japan’s Secret Service equivalent immediately.

This is such a rare thing to happen in Japan. Guess that could be part of the reason. They just weren’t prepared.

U.S. shootings are prevalent yet still couldn't prevent anything. I can only imagine if Japan had no gun laws there, it might have been a massacre.

huh?

what about him doesn't fit the establishment image?
his policy positions seem right in line with the party base

if he wins the Pennsylvania senate in a red wave year
trust me the dem establishment will love him, no one will care that he doesn't wear suits.
