huh?

what about him doesn't fit the establishment image?
his policy positions seem right in line with the party base

if he wins the Pennsylvania senate in a red wave year
trust me the dem establishment will love him, no one will care that he doesn't wear suits.
I think the way he looks and the populist rhetoric fool people

Is Delk's StockX business on the list?

The ones that bother me are the ones that received close to a million dollars and didn’t ever have any interruption and didn’t increase employee wages. ****ing disgusting.
Yea that's far worse. They didn't even need it.

I’m trying to figure out how they shot once (missed) and weren’t surrounded by Japan’s Secret Service equivalent immediately.

This is such a rare thing to happen in Japan. Guess that could be part of the reason. They just weren’t prepared.
Yeah they might have been legit confused given how rare gun ownership and violence is there

Edit: Even Abe didn't respond to the first shot himself from an angle I saw

I know a person who had ppl registering their "businesses" through them for a cut, fools with nothing to their name but the old family den getting 20k, 50k, 100k cash.

...and I'm kinda not mad when a small business like the Los Angeles Lakers can even apply.

Was just at the gas station and saw an interesting example of the difference between information from newspapers.

As you’d expect the UK headlines are all about the resignation of BoJo - most were like this, and were pretty scathing of his behavior.

Just like Fox - these people are living in an alternate universe.

A prime minister's resignation and Abe's assassination within 24 hours but the stock market goes up? That **** is so damn fixed.....

I’m ignorant but is the unique part of the US that we pick and choose when states’ laws trump federal laws? I know countries like China, Mexico, Germany, etc. have distinct regions (or state equivalents) but do those other countries regional governments get as much power as we sometimes give our own state governments?

If only littering were the sole reason.

I once overheard an American in Mexico complaining that, “they should really learn the language.”

It’s definitely not unheard of to claim you’re Canadian while overseas. Everyone seems to love Canadians.
entitlement is a big pain. I remember an article years ago and I believe a sheriff from Virginia visited up north and complained on how he felt in danger of not having to carry a firearm simply because some strangers in the woods greeted and tried to open a conversation with him and his wife. I believe he got banned for making that remark and got red flagged if ever he wanted to set foot in Canada. generally speaking, Canadians seems to be more welcomed in other countries. but I think when it comes to travels, all you have to do is adhere to the customs of the country that you are visiting and shut your mouth. heck, even if I learn other people's language and custom, I'd rather keep my mouth shut as well.
