Why does he look like he’s sick? Mans is going through it.

I wish I was as hopeful about this Trump thing as y’all are. The response he’s getting on Reddit and Fox News right now seems very negative but I remember the shift from before 2016 as Trump morphed from a fringe candidate to the GOP’s guy and Republicans have proven time and time again that they have no shame when it comes to shifting their positions. Maybe I’m jaded cause I live in Alabama but I truly believe the vast majority of this state was elated when Trump made his announcement yesterday and I’m willing to bet Alabama wasn’t the only red state celebrating.
One of my conservative friends texted me to gloat and after a few back and forth I put him on ignore. Not only because of Trump talk, he’s a jackass in general.

Internally I can't call it between Desantis and Trump but I don't think either wins nationally. Biden just has to keep working and calling them out on their BS. The majority of people are tired of the four years of MAGA that felt like a decade of scandals, failures, and dumb ****.

I really don’t see any path to victory for Trump in 2024. Hell it took the perfect storm of events and for all the stars to align for him to even win in 2016 in the first place. It wouldn’t surprise me for him to beat DeSantis and for the GOP to ultimately hitch their wagon back to him despite blaming him for their L’s right now.

But him being a wild card and an outsider going against the grain worked for him in 2016. I just don’t see him having that same appeal again.

I've said before the supporters who really scare me are the ones who doubled down on his nonsense - I can totally get being unhappy with what has been happening and voting for the upstart who you hoped would shake thinks up. But, if even 10% of those who supported him change their mind he would get destroyed in the election - and there are a significant number of people who see him for what he is now. Even if they are embarrassed to speak about it I can't see them putting a cross by his name again.

"Wait and see" for what? For real? This is the kind of stuff that makes me angry. Dude does what should be near the top of the list of crimes for any free country - literally subvert a democratic election, and all they want to do is kick back and relax.

No intention of ever enforcing a subpoena. Everything Trump has done in his entire ******* adult life would let you know he was going to ignore it. No bite behind this bark at all. It's embarrassing. I love you Democrats, but this is the kind of **** that makes my blood boil:

Here is a interesting take. Basically these lawsuits would force Biden to create additional bureaucracy & paperwork to do the exact same thing he can have a computer automate now.

What did she look like then? She's listed as white but has the lightskin republican lady package.

*yeah just saw pics of her kids, add race denier to her list of realities she doesn't accept. Moms has some explaining to things. Not that we want her.

IMO, Trump will still have his cult base and will only further divide the GOP/Republican Party. It'll be an interesting next two years.

I know some of my family members were excited about his announcement. |l But to see them repost and grasp at hot takes the next two years will be entertaining.

part of the problem is that republicans just refuse to part with plutocracy.
they prefer to think Trump's hold over the electorate is do to some Svengali like manipulation.

and not the fact that he said he wouldn't cut medicare.

in a world with inflation and decisions that have actual trade offs.
there aren't going to be any more massive deficit financed tax cuts...

and you need an actual answer to what you are going to do with inflation.
As you see with Rick Scott, republicans drop the mask and pivot to plutocracy.

Desantis may have a punchers chance imo.

but he's gotten to skate by with people just asking him about culture war stuff.

if he has to actually put on wax, what his national policies are
and if it's Rick Scott style austerity.

he's drawing dead imo.
