Curious, emotional in what way? I used to sell appliances years ago and gas stoves are more efficient energy wise.

If we are saying emotions in the sense that people prefer cooking on them to an electric stove top, then maybe that makes sense?

And this is a very small percentage but people who do canning require a gas stove.

Also if you are properly using your vent hood (which many people don’t) that should help properly vent gases.

All the info you are looking for is in the video I posted

Induction cooktops to my knowledge are the most energy efficient. They are more expensive though.

I used to work and still consult in the natural gas industry. Gas companies spend a ton of money spreading a bunch of marketing ********

Look how they whipped up outrage over nothing in regards to an imaginary gas stove "ban".

They are scared or regulation, they are trying to make people have a symbolic attachment to gas the same way they do guns.

I don’t really care if I have gas or electric in my house.

An electric commercial kitchen would be awful though.

Induction is fine when you need a little burner on cold side or something but a full induction range on a sauté station would need some serious upgrades from its current state.

The people I talk to in culinary all say mostly positive things about induction cooktops at their job

Easier to clean, less risk of burns, fires, and the kitchens are cooler.

The one I’ve used was weak power wise and didn’t have a big enough temp range. Maybe there’s better ones now.

Fires, burns and hot temps all suck though. Nothing like working in a 130 degree kitchen…

Sous vide is meh as hell. Just learn proper technique.

I’m on mobile and too lazy and unskilled in the dark arts of quoting multiple posts.

My wife cans and does it on our electric stove. We both prefer gas but our current house doesn’t have a gas line and tapping a gas line at our previous house in this same neighborhood was not a pleasant experience. Looking to invest in induction but need to phase out some of our pots and pans first.

Also sous vide cooking is fun. I always tell myself I want to sous vide once a month and every year I only do it once or twice a year smh

You'd think the government would be better at tracking possession of classified documents, especially ones marked top secret.
None of the reporting suggests the government was even aware that Biden's documents were out there. At least in Trump's case, the government knew to some extent that documents were missing.

My friend is a former Marine lawyer who had occasion to need fairly secret documents. He walked me through the security process, and the government really does a very good job at securing these documents for almost every person who’s given access because the military largely governs those procedures and practices.

The exception is the offices of the President and Vice President. Because our constitution (thankfully) deliberately ensured civilian control of the military, the normal overseers of US classified documents have no jurisdiction over those two offices since the oversight is already established in the opposite direction.

Apparently there have been “friendly” offers by the military to help these executive branch set up better controls, but they have been “politely” declined.
