***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I find it surprising how some in here are automatically saying that Biden has lost it, is a guaranteed loss, when there is plenty of time left for the Dems to push and gather the support needed for Election Day. People are pointing out his health and mental state is terrible as if they're OK with having Trump back in the office to 'dEaL wItH aNoThEr 4 yEaRs".

Are people really just going to accept this and not do anything to avoid Trump back in office? We see and know what Trump is about. We know and seen what Biden is all about based on his work since he became the President. Why are so many people acting like it's already over?

If he loses in November then he loses. But ****, I will do as much as I can to encourage people.
Exactly in a race between two former presidents. When the **** hits the fan it’s going to be based on records and promises and I don’t think anyone who isn’t a conservative wants the ******** they are peddling these days. Plus Trump is a convicted felon because he was paying hush money to a porn star, found guilty of rape, and was a close associate with the most infamous pedophile in the country.

The worst things democrats can do is fight among themselves and make themselves look weak by turning on Biden after he spent the last week showing he isn’t senile. Trump’s best chance to win is the democrats do anything but spend these next few months reminding everyone what a piece of **** he is and why they are better.

It's crazy to see some Democrats turn on Biden and do everything they can to undermine Biden and lose him the election.

I could see if this was before or during the primary but the voters have already voted in the primary. It's too late to have another primary, and any plan to circumvent the will of the voters will be met with backlash.

You can't be serious.

If the voters new the Biden brain was this bad he wouldn't have won the primary.

You can't conceal important information from the voters and then appeal to democratic voters after the fact.

Biden during the primaries was old, sure, but he did alright in the debates and didn’t appear to have any complications from old age. He was quite lively and overall did well. Same with much of his presidency.

What we’re seeing today and in recent months is a struggling Biden in very obvious cognitive decline. There’s no hiding it, and after that debate performance there’s certainly no denying it.

The Biden that voters voted for is no longer fully here. At times he is, at times he isn’t.

I think one could argue that not stepping down and running despite such a clear and worsening cognitive decline is no different than replacing him. Current Biden is already a ‘replacement’ and a shell of the person they voted for.

What are you even talking about, "the Biden brain was this bad".

He looked fine speaking at the Nato Summit today.

if using the New York Times as a source, probably for the best to have at least another source to confirm

So you think he should step down and they have no nominee on the Democrat side?

What's the solution? You can't say he should step down without a viable alternative.

It's like saying, the leftovers in the fridge are a few days old, throw them out and don't eat any dinner tonight.

… so a 78 year old Trump who is the same age as Biden was when elected, is a better alternative? As if he won’t suffer the same fate/decline.

Why is no one talking about the fact that buddy is 78 years old? Like I’ve said it here before.

Pelosi is 84, McConnell is 82. How is that Biden is all of a sudden the one being singled out? If he needs to acquiesce, all these 70+ year old politicians need to do the same.

30 house reps are over 77 years of age. 15 are 80+
37 senators 70+, 6 are 80+ years of age.

21 men and women are over the age of 80.

But BIDEN!

And trump is literally running to stay out of jail, plus all the other stuff that got buried

Plus the money he pumps into his properties from the nature of the gig

And just like the campaign, he’ll golf all the time

Respectfully, you can't be serious.

He went on the biggest stage in politics, and rambled incoherently and failed to complete sentences.

He literally was incoherent and then went into hiding for a week while debate raged on about his mental competence.

C'mon

Hawaii Governor Josh Green told CNN that people need to "lighten up" and that the remark from Biden was just a "self-deprecating joke."

Biden is said to have made the comment during a meeting of Democratic governors at the White House on Wednesday, where several attendees announced their ongoing support for the president in the 2024 race despite his debate performance against Donald Trump last month. "

Biden was just kidding with us and frankly, and I'm saying this as a physician, it is a significant ability to cognitively still be able to make a self-deprecating joke," Green said. "So if anything, people do need to lighten up."

Because Biden went on stage and was totally incoherent.

Then he went into hiding, then he came out a did a radio interview with pre written question and barley got through that

And now he's barely running a campaign making very few public appearances despite being down a huge margin.

All the available evidence points to Biden not being cognitively well enough to do this. The voters have thought this for years, now the media is caught up to this fact.

Trying to gaslight the country in order to explain away Biden's historically awful debate performance ain't it

"It was an off night."

"It was a cold."

"He was jet lagged."

"It was just his stutter."

"Trump talked too loud."

Trump and his supporters want Joe to stay in this race, and If the plan is to ultimately replace Biden then you have to pivot to Kamala sooner rather than later.

So re-elect him. And let Kamala Harris take over if need be. Problem solved.

Trump is in cognitive decline as well. I don’t know if you realize it but his constant lies and spewing of misinformation is an example of cognitive decline as well :lol :lol :lol

THE VOTERS DON'T WANT TO RE ELECT HIM.
