from what i’ve noticed are the only people that say this are people that are wildly uninformed and naive.

if you don’t pay any attention to what’s actually going on ( a lot of people unfortunately fall in to this category) and turn on the wrong news channel or read the wrong tweet, it’s a pretty common pseudo-intellectual statement to make. i hear it a lot.

and nowadays there are a whole lot of folks completely turned off by political news and i can’t blame them.
