***Official Political Discussion Thread***

A federal judge is ordering the Republican National Committee to detail any agreements it has with Donald Trump's campaign to engage in "ballot security" efforts in connection with next week's election — something the national GOP has been banned from doing for decades without court approval.
The order also instructs the RNC to explain by 5 p.m. Tuesday what Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence were talking about in recent comments when they said that Trump's campaign was working closely with the RNC to make sure there is no fraud at the polls.

I'm glad someone at the federal level is paying attention to this.

The whole supreme court justice refusal is such a crock of ****.
It really is.

Just shows me how much some people really respect and follow the constitution to the word.

The hypocrisy of claiming that the Constitution is not a living document, then disregarding it when you don't like what is has to say is ridiculous and on full display.

Justice Scalia must be breakdancing in his grave.

da Constitution only said 6 was needed....
if u wanna play that card.

the constitutional violation is not about the size of the court but about the Senate not doing their duty to advise the president on his nomination of a supreme court justice.

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly Hillary Clinton is "guilty" of...
Hillary is guilty of not practicing secrecy rules as outlined by Gene Hackman in Enemy of the State. Let this be a lesson to all of us.

Fully encrypt all your email communications.

When changing locations, place all electronic devices in aluminum bags.

When conducting business in a new room, send in an electronics expert first to scan the room for any potential bugs.

If you can't trust the other person to encrypt and destroy email communication, insist on speaking in person in a dark, noisy, crowded location. Cover your mouth when you speak. Make sure your facial expressions and body language are out of sync with what you are actually saying.

If you can't meet in person, then send a messenger. Use a code for the message, a code that the messenger does not know.

And, biggest mistake of all, make sure you are not signed up for junk mail from gap, VS, macy's, etc. These will clutter your inbox and you end up with 650k emails. Instead, if you make sure never to include your email when signing up for things, you can probably keep your inbox to ~500 messages. Thus, when Comey wakes up one day with a partisan vendetta, he will only need 2 or 3 days to go through your entire inbox instead of dragging it out for weeks.

This is of course with respect to any personal emails, like where to meet someone for lunch or reminding Bill to get milk on his way home from yoga. That is her crime. Not protecting those emails from the FBI.
Stop.

She's guilty of mishandling classified information. If anyone besides Hillary did this they'd be in prison. Here's a story of what happened to an active duty soldier who sent a blank powerpoint marked SECRET (it contained nothing, and was a blank document) via NIPERet.
In Special Operations we stand on principles and values that are outside the political arena, with that said here is my take on this situation. When I was an active Team Sgt for a Special Forces Detachment, with the responsibility of real world crisis response and hostage rescue, while standing up this unit with my TL, I frequently did mock briefs via power point. These scenarios were designed to prepare the boys for war and crisis response. While developing these plans I sent one of my team mates an email of a blank PowerPoint presentation with the word "secret" embedded in the slide, (not a secret document) but again-"a blank power point with the word SECRET in it" that I used to fill in made up scenarios. The system we used flagged the email-over the next 6 months me another team mate would have our Top Secret and Secret accounts disabled, banned from deployment, investigated formally by a commissioned officer, and threatened with career loss and losing our clearances-which would revoke us out of Special Forces... The findings, "misuse-conduct remedial training (a power point), return to duty" let me repeat that-an active duty, Special Forces Operations Sgt in charge of a real world operational unit was banned from operating for 6 months-investigated for sending a power point which had the word "secret" on a blank power point that I made for training scenarios. I've seen active SOF operators, Americas finest lose their career, their well being, all they know-kicked out for exactly the same thing that I was in a pickle for-luckily I had a security manager that fought for us, but if I was anywhere near this wreckless, anywhere close to this egregious in releasing information that could compromise national security on this level-I would lose my tab, my career, and be polishing ****ters in Leavenworth. I am disappointed that politicians somehow in this nation on all sides become elitist-unaccountable to any and all laws that we hold our men and women in the Armed Forces to the highest of standards. Where are we headed?

So nothing happened to the dude except being investigate and having his career jeopardized

Yep, Hillary should have that happen to her..............oh wait!

-Dude, just vote for Trump to protect you "gun rights" :rolleyes. Stop trying to act like your hand is being forced

See this slide from a US Army OPSEC training/briefing? Says volumes that the US military is currently using Clinton as an example of potential insider threats.

So you agree Snowden is one too. And you're against him being pardon?

-BTW, that doesn't say volumes if it is one person making a slide. You're acting like it is a wide spread official document that list Hillary as a threat.

Plus I wonder how brave these people are gonna be if Hillary become their boss

Hillary's already been fully investigated.

Sure, if these new emails uncover a bombshell, like she willfully leaked confidential information to the Russians, then that would be cause for alarm.

But at this point they already investigated her and these are just follow-up investigations with, as far as we know, no new incriminating evidence. With the election so close, they should have waited until they figured out whether there was incriminating evidence before bringing it to the public.

Just to be clear, I'm referencing the current Weiner probe. We've already been through the past stuff and it's already been investigated. My point is that, to avoid this current potential election-changing move, she should have initiated Enemy of the State rules. Because, as far as we know, the only reason this is even news is because she didn't encrypt her spam mail.

A question was asked and I answered it. And please tell me, what punishment was given to her? I didn't even bring up Trump, I've said before I'm not going to vote for him. I just hope for your sake the you're getting compensated for going so hard for hillary all the damn time.

That's the thing. It doesn't matter if it was willful or not. She mishandled classified information, did she not?
