***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Read the second sentence. That doesn't make sense. Who is "nobody", are you speaking generally again?

Maybe is your writing style but why not making a straight forward comments instead of these condescending comments towards these imaginary people?

You speak in so many generalities, it always takes a follow up to make you get specific. Look how military people, turned into military leaders.

I was making a generalized statement about military action throughout history,so I went with a general "nobody" I figured it was appropriate.

to get specific I think Hilary Clinton is way way way too accepting of elite burocratic thinking and that makes her particularly susceptible to falling into in ill convinced military interventionist boondgles.

Ross Douthat had a great line on this in NYtimes sunday colunm.

"They are the dangers of recklessness and radicalism that doesn't rocognize iself as eitherm because it is convinced that if an idea is mainstream and common place among the great and good then it cannot possibly be folly"

It would my biggest knock against clinton if I were an american voting.

Your last sentence makes it seem like you're making the claim people don't question those choices, and that is part of the issue.

Add to that, many of your post in here is talking is criticizing Americans on the discussion they have (why are you'll talking about the National Debt, why are you'll talking about free trade), I assume you were saying the problem was with the people not recognizing the issue as much as it is with Hillary judgment.

I wonder what Donald Trump's security team is going to look like after he loses. Sheer madness, it is no wonder that he has trouble sleeping at night, then hanging out tweeting.

Food for thought...

With the advent of this election, one of my inlaws posted a comment on FB stating her children were getting all kinds of racist comments at school & other functions. She is black (a former lawyer & now a fiction writer) & her husband is Indian (thoracic surgeon). They live in a very well to do area in Montgomery Co, MD which is one of the most upwardly mobile areas in the US. Also very highly educated to.

Here is what she posted -

Seriously, the psychological and emotional punches my kids seem to be fighting against during this election season, most especially from their peers, is making me wanna kick some ***. Shame on those parents who spew their hate in front of their children and leave them out there to suffer the wrath of "woke" parents and children of color.

Here is a response from one of her friends -

It's very sad ******, I was talking to my older son about your post, he's been dealing with a lot of jokes about being Mexican and so have I, He also had to take charge to help a muslim friend who was being made fun of for being Muslim and the kids (all white) said at the end, I'm so glad that by next year, your ***** will be deported. What ignorant disgraceful children. 9th grade and full of hate. I told my son, that every time he's mistreated and accused of being Mexican, even though we're on the other side of Latin America, I told him just to reply "We're all Mexicans", that's where I stand. But No doubts that The disgraceful Trump has validated hate in a way that all haters are simply stepping out of the closet like zombies in the apocalypse.

I can't wait until this election is over so we can finally put chubby aka male sarah palin behind us. :smokin

I found this article a lil interesting regarding demographics. Millennials are turned a lil by Clinton, but if the trends holds regarding demographics and political leanings, then the GOP is ******.

They have to change their message. Fighting with Clinton for 4-8 years might no be the way to go either. Especially if the Dems start fighting back.

Neo-Nazi leader Andrew Anglin plans to muster thousands of poll watchers across all 50 states. His partners at the alt-right website “the Right Stuff” are touting plans to set up hidden cameras at polling places in Philadelphia and hand out liquor and marijuana in the city’s “ghetto” on Election Day to induce residents to stay home. The National Socialist Movement, various factions of the Ku Klux Klan and the white nationalist American Freedom Party all are deploying members to watch polls, either “informally” or, they say, through the Trump campaign.

The Oath Keepers, a group of former law enforcement and military members that often shows up in public heavily armed, is advising members to go undercover and conduct “intelligence-gathering” at polling places, and Donald Trump ally Roger Stone is organizing his own exit polling, aiming to monitor thousands of precincts across the country.

I'm interested to see it happen in my area. I vote at a church, so I doubt it, but you can't put anything past these deplorables.

What do you have to lose? Apparently, your local black church

A black church in Mississippi was burned and spray-painted with "Vote Trump," officials said on Wednesday, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said it was looking into the incident, which comes one week before the U.S. presidential election.

No one was injured in the Tuesday evening blaze at Hopewell M.B. Church in Greenville, and the cause of the fire has not been determined, Greenville Fire Chief Ruben Brown Sr. said in a telephone interview.

Black churches in the U.S. South have long been a base of support for the Democratic Party.

The town of about 33,000 people is about 100 miles (160 kms) northwest of Jackson.

"The FBI Jackson Division is aware of the situation in Greenville, and we are working with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners to determine if any civil rights crimes were committed," the agency said in a statement.

Brown said the church was heavily damaged by the fire.

In October, the Orange County Republican Party's office in Hillsborough, North Carolina, was set on fire and a graffiti message left nearby said "leave town or else."

Tuesday's going to be a mess. Hope cops around these areas do their job and protect people trying to vote, and actually arrest these deplorables trying to disrupt and destroy democracy.

all this talk from trump telling his supporters to be vigilant has got me thinking of the movie, Free State of Jones, when they go out to vote and the white racist be waiting gathered with their guns and dogs outside and inside of the voting station

Do you have any evidence that Clinton sent her out there to grab that info? No.

she da ******* DNC chair now..gimme a ******* break :lol

CNN FIRED her cuz she got caught red handed.

What are you feelings about the voter suppression planned for Tuesday, targeted at black communities.

what does that have to do with what i said?

It doesn't, I'm asking you to answer a direct question.

meanwhile when da birddogging scheme got blown in Chicago ya aint **** either :lol

So a couple people disrupting a rally, is on the same level as an organized effort to suppress black voters.

This that what you're implying?

This that what you're imp laying?

[thread="509493"]What do you mean by suppressing black voters? How would one even do that?[/thread]

Closing early polling stations in black communities, for one. Or not even opening one at all.

Cancelling voting registrations, for another.

Enforcing voter id laws, for a third.

That is not evidence that Clinton specifically told her to get that info. As an active member of a political unit, Brazile has a vested interest in making sure that her party wins. If that means volunteering info that could help Clinton get an edge during the debate, then yeah anyone could see her doing that. It does NOT imply that Clinton sent her on a mission to get it.

Are you applying the same level of scrutiny on Corey, who by the way cannot speak ill of Trump on TV? Are you looking for info that might have leaked from him to the Donald and that could have given him an advantage during the debates?

No. You're not doing that, Mr Fair and Balanced.

I don't think this is an overt attempt at voter suppression, but my parents and sister (Bronx and Harlem respectively) are dealing with redistricting and not receiving notice of their new polling center.
