Folks tripping off Biden pardoning his son, while trump is gonna have to pardon himself. Man is a convicted criminal and is hiring other criminals to represent the US govt.

I remember that article, His point was he should pardon him in exchange for stepping down early so Dems could have a primary.

Not pardon him, after stepping down way too late and losing the election.


I totally get why Biden did this selfishly. I probably would do it also tbh given how Doomed Biden's legacy is anyways.

But deciding to run for another term, losing the election and then doing this on the way out kinda cements him as a RBG level villain.

We can Monday morning quarterback to oblivion but it’s not clear any dem would have won this election whether Joe stepped down in April or in the late summer. The situations simply are not the same.


I have no issue with the pardon. Norms are gone, Trump is going to unleash nasty levels of lawfare, and Biden has served this country for decades. His son never would have been prosecuted if he wasn’t the president, so I could care less that Joe can go home and have his son with him during the twilight of his life. The media can have a field day with it because they need something to yell about for the day but blaming the pardon for anything of consequence is complete non sequitur in the current political environment.

1. to be clear the pardon is not tipping the scale, the not stepping down is by far the biggest crime.
the pardon is the cherry on top.

2. Sure there are differences between the RGB decision, but I think they are pretty comparable. both incredibly selfish acts. that hurt the democratic party.

if you wanna say RGB is worse, fine I might agree, but Biden is clearly in the same genre.
if you wanna shoot him bail for not stepping down after his first time okay maybe

but not stepping down instantly after the debate is indefensible.


Trump is going to undo everything he accomplished. if Sotomayor dies he undoes the Ketanji Brown Jackson pick.

Me personally? I'm not doing the comparison game, at least not in this fashion. The Dems, the media, and the supports of Dema have spent 8 years (long, really) condemning all the crooked **** their opposition has done. This turn to "well, they're doing the same thing" is weak, imo. Biden should be dragged for doing this, just like the other side would be dragged for doing it.
