Bro, what even is the end game here? It’s like people bought into a narrative that doesn’t add up, thinking there’s some magic cure for inflation. Spoiler alert: there isn’t. And all this "bring jobs back to America" talk? Sure, sounds great on a bumper sticker, but in reality, it just means pricier products for everyone. The wild part is, it’s not just Dems—it’s the majority of voters on both sides who are about to feel the pain. All bets are off, and we’re all left holding the bag.

And the rednecks without a pot to piss in are about to find out the hard way that voting for billionaires to "fix things" doesn’t exactly trickle down to fixing their problems. That rude awakening? Yeah, it’s coming, and it’s gonna hit like a freight train and broken promises.

This past week has me looking back at his first presidency fondly, and that was still one of the worst presidencies of all time.

While it was still filled with people I despise, at the very least I could say that 50% of them had actual qualifications and stopped Trump from completely destroying the country.

We went from James Mattis, a Marine Corps legend, to Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host, responsible for our military alliances all over the world.

Oh, so now that there are consequences, we're all about making sure they're protected? Funny how that works. Cubans were loud and proud when things were swinging their way for Trump, but now that the tide’s turning, suddenly it’s about safeguarding their interests. While I’m sure something will be done to coddle them, maybe a little reality check back in Cuba would do the trick. Nothing like a firsthand refresher on democracy to spark some newfound appreciation, huh?

The end game is to go back to life in the early-mid 1900s. Coal powered everything, massive amounts of pollution, isolationism, racism, no regulations,Communist witch hunts…with none of the ambition to become the leader in science and technology that existed back then. All that matters is that the rest of us go back to being second class. Very selective in which aspects they believe were “great”

Meanwhile China, the country they criticize 24/7. is going all in clean energy, transportation, infrastructure, etc. to become the country of the future. Of course there are legitimate issues with Chinese government that need to be criticized, but I thought the U.S. wanted to be the best in all aspects? Wouldn’t focusing on advancing the country and beating China in those fields, rather than going back 100 years, what would make the U.S. great again?

I’m not going to lie, I hold a lot of resentment toward the Biden administration too. They should’ve pivoted from Biden earlier instead of doubling down and dismissing concerns. And the whole “let’s call people uneducated” strategy? Genius move—if you want to alienate half the country. Addressing actual needs instead of forcing a candidate they thought was “great” might have been a smarter play. A primary? You know, letting people actually choose? Radical idea, I know. Trump didn’t win or gain ground —the Democrats just failed to get their voters to show up again. Yeah, go ahead and come for me, but I’ve been saying this all along.

As awful human beings many of the presidents in the 50s-80s were, I can’t imagine a single one of them looking at the Soviet Union and being like “Who cares what massive scientific achievements are going on over there; we need to go back to the 20s-30s.”

Those dudes took anything the Soviets did as if they were personal attacks. They couldn’t stand being beaten at ANYTHING. If it weren’t for all the bull @$@$ they did in foreign countries, you could admire that type of mentality :lol

Not fooling me. He's a big proponent of population control. Hence why he drug his feet on covid. And why Gates is so 'impressed' with him all of a sudden.

He's getting rid of and defunding multiple programs that aid in prolonged life. Hiv, cooked. Cancers, cooked. Disaster response, cooked.

ICE was in our building yesterday. They really are a bunch of inadequate *******s...**** em...
As sad as it is, the Latinos I've come across at work whose family, friends, coworkers would be affected, voted for Trump. The assumption being he wouldn't go after the "good ones", now they're hurting. As silly as it sounded, it shocked me to hear that was really their rhetoric. Some of them are the legal sort of "gateway " relative too, so who knows what happens next.

This is why I'm tired to hear about what Democrats should've/could've done.

Nothing that is happening right now is a surprise if you cared to listen to what Trump said.

Listening to "Trump the candidate" is something the electorate has continuously refused to do. They were proud to be ignorant, they flaunted it in the face of the "coastal elites," and thought nothing would come from protest voting or staying home.

They accepted without question the web of lies woven by Trump and his propagandists to explain his legal issues and treasonous actions.

The electorate needs to stop the finger pointing. If you belong to those who say "but the Democrats..." ask yourself why you disregarded Trump's own words; ask yourself why you chose to believe the amplification of the Dems' shortcomings and why you chose to downplay the GOP's threats to your own safety.

It's a really odd thing - my wife and I were talking about it today with all the nutters complaining about the government forcing us to stay at home in extreme weather. The folks making all the noise identify as right wing pretty publicly and have all the talking points you'd expect - but they're all solidly at the lower income end of working class. I just don't get it - other than them thinking they're just temporarily inconvenienced millionaires I suppose.

Democrats get way too much blame and the onus to change put on them. Not sure how stupid folks expect them to get to placate people like that when they ignore reality. Like what do you want? Podcasts with a cartoon dog in a sideways hat to spread the message?

Democrats get held to an actual standard

It amazes me the way things get conflated in an attempt to try to ‘both sides’ things

Biden mixes up 2 names and you got think pieces about his mental health.. meanwhile trump on a daily basis is saying dumb shh that high school students are expected to know and they’re incapable of calling a lie a lie
