the thing about white privilege is that your ancestors would have been more accepted in society and had more opportunities compared to a black person if they were in the same situation as your ancestors based on the color of their skin that is a fact. and the sad thing is that it isn't just old white people but many white people who supported a platform on fear and hatred. I'm not for blaming all white people but there is and has always been a severe disconnect with white people in this country that do not understand just how greatly the system benefits them to the point where it is ingrained in our culture. i think one of the first steps to solving this problem is a greater need to get them and all white people to understand this

However my grandfather on my mothers side was discriminated against very harshly (look up what they did to the Irish when they came over) but I get what you are saying, when it comes to treating people ****** just for who they are black people have the crown on that one (sadly)

thanks man and i understand the discrimination that irish and italians faced when they first moved to the country. i def get that but my problem is that they were able to assimilate into white america and benefit from the same institutions that persecutes blacks and they didnt help to alleviate the plight of colored people around them. (i aint talking about your folks specifically I'm sure they nice people lol)
