This fool just rambling now :lol

God do I hope they drop a bombshell in the Russia investigation and send the whole family in jail. Need this idiot to shut up already. Also it would shut up republicans as they'd have nothing to say as all their words and beliefs mean nothing now in terms of credibility for their blind support.

One day when he's ultra mad he's gonna drop some ultra classified intelligence secret on twitter and the gig will be up

"Dems as stupid as alien who crashed in Roswell. Sad."

I ma really starting to dislike the Jacobin Magazine, they and giving TYT and Secular Talk competition for being the most "up my on ***" progressive outlet.

I really think some writers see black people a pawns to their movement, instead of being interested in understanding black people.

Yep, automation ain't no joke. I'm kinda happy that that professionals and white collar collars are in the cross hairs too, that way this issues will be taken seriously.

All the people that were once laughing at food service people and saying **** like "just get a better job" gonna have a change of heart when IBM Watson takes your spot, you cry foul, but the only response you get is "well, just get a better job"

Let's wait until the first 100 days are over before we judge him.

Whywesteppin and Nike Jordan are truly wise men. With all of the opposition Da Don has faced from Da Libbies we need to give him a chance. We have nothing to lose. Da Don is truly da best President we've ever had but Da Libbies won't help him get things done. Hopefully Spicey and Barson can let da yappa sing on fake news.

Well, if his trends continue, he will only have been in the White House for 66 days out of those 100... he will probably have gotten much more done than any other president when taking this into effect.

Nobody's safe for automation. :eek

There's a big disconnect. Majority of people don't appreciate not just the potential but also how close we are to this revolution. What that means is that the average person is not going to take it well. There will be anger and backlash. However, the most important point the video makes is that it is inevitable. These things will become automated. The world will change.

I imagine in this future we will pay premiums to go to an island or theme park like in Westworld or Jurassic Park. The difference is we'll be paying for a park where there is no technology, where you are serviced by real humans and not robots.

There have been hundreds or thousands of cautionary books and movies about what terrible things will happen when we get computers that can pass the Turing test. Will robots enslave us? Will we be led into a major war? Will there be a major glitch that puts robots offline for a year and as a result half the world dies of starvation?

But before we get to those scenarios we will have the economic dilemma. Will we enact policies that redistribute goods and services? How will humans deal with a world where hard work, initiative, and intelligence are no longer needed, where even basic tasks like tying your shoes or reading a subway map or driving is offloaded onto a machine? Will we have mass depression and helplessness? Or will society flourish in a new Renaissance, where we enter a new era of human cooperativity and creativity that allows us to go to explore new planets, to reverse global warming, etc.?

Nevermind, actually. Let's just bring the hemi back.

I don't speak on my own death or anyone's actually, but I'm pretty happy I won't be around for the eradication of the humans conditions role in the service industry, and everyday social interaction. We may gain a lot materialistically but will lose so much of our selves for the foolish payoff of conveniency.

it's a crazy world when liberals and cheney are on the same page. although he of course still found a way to weave in war.

2 things: 1 - it will be a slow and gradual process before this new future is commonplace, and 2 - it doesn't necessarily have to dehumanize us. phones are a good example of technology that can go both ways in terms of social interaction.

Could ya imagine the irony of the only actual bill the cheeto gets through in congress is one that does away with rent control? Man I think I'll cry tears of joy.

For the one job that would've been better off being taken over by a robot, we just had to take an evolutionary step backwards and instead give the job to an orangutan primate. Just our luck.

Shame, he would've been really good too..

Sheila and Ed would have to pay market rent.
