I accept that cleaning up after children is a necessary and unavoidable part of the service our team and I must provide for the community, but it's difficult to summon the patience for it when the childish behavior is coming from a bunch of fully grown adults who ought to know and demand better.
This conversation is for adults. I'm so tired of dealing with the petty, childish insults.
Insulting someone's medical condition? That is pathetic.
Making fun of someone for living in poverty? That's bullying, too - and hypocritical coming from those who claim, in all other contexts, that it's wrong for politicians to demonize the nation's poor and marginalized.
I don't care what example is being set by politicians. Here on NikeTalk, we expect discussion participants to hold themselves above restoring to insults and personal attacks.
Disagree with ideas, not with people. I can appreciate that sometimes people might be arguing against interest, and the temptation thus exists to discuss people in association with their ideas, but we should be able to agree on where the line should be drawn to maintain civility. Personal attacks and insults are not acceptable.
My time right now is much better spent trying to save our forums and our content before the current platform is discontinued. I'm asking you to act like adults.
Don't ask me to mediate this petty schoolyard squabble. If I have to deal with it, I'm just gonna start tossing people out of this thread.
