Yeah, but everyone has some "dirt" that they will try to make them look bad.
This is one of my few gripes with the Dem base is that they always try to look for the holy figure instead of the most pragmatic candidate.

Dude coming 2020, if Trump is struggling, people will be looking for the anti-Trump, not making excuses for his opposition because "yeah Trump did this"

Reagan was the anti-Carter, Clinton the anti-HW Bush, Obama the anti-Bush Jr., and Trump is the anti-Obama.

To flip the White House politicians often times rely on a "change" platform. You can't run on a change platform if you mirror what is already there.

A low integrity Dem, or a celebrity candidate will have trouble, not only in the general but primary.
