The gun laws in this country are frightening and it's amazing that they can trace down ownership of a gun considering how archaic the record keeping is and that is on purpose.

Can someone explain to my why Charles Murray can traipse around the country peddling race science about black inferiority and still gets written up as some benign "scholar" in the Washington post?
I see little difference between him and a Dr. Umar Johnson...yet we have to take one seriously and the other we have to weep whrn he doesn't get to peddle his junk science at a small liberal arts college.

Liberalism, is an ideology or viewpoint
Republicans, use the latter to attack the former without any real basis.. it's used unfortunately in a dismissive and/or negative manner
The Democratic Party is multifaceted.. but it's easier to appeal to the not so bright when sweeping statements get made.. and individuals get caught up defending or trying to address that rather than making substantive points on the actual issue
Look at those who attack Bernie on being a 'socialist' without giving real consideration to what that actual means.. it's simply used as an attack and supposed to cause those who would be inclined to dismiss whatever else is said no matter how valid
