rolaholic rolaholic what's the process of becoming a refugee in Canada? I'm asking for a friend :nerd: Who's a college educated professional. Can they more or less easily integrate into Canada if **** pops off here? They ain't really into living through Red Dawn 2018.

Not even mad

Not exactly 100% sure about the process since I'm a citizen by birth but I think it wouldn't be too complicated for someone like your "friend" to get a visa. Depending on the industry, you might not even need a work permit.

Refugee status would be a bit more complicated though ,folks from wartorn countries would for sure take precedence in cue.

If you're serious about staying long term, you'd be allowed to keep your American citizenship even if you become a permanent resident/naturalized. There's a lot of dual citizens

Unrelated, pretty surprised at how little coverage the WSJ bombshell yesterday has gotten so far. It's literally the first concrete proof of collusion between the orange camp and the Russians yet I've heard more takes and talk about the Mika and Joe squabble  :smh:. Praying this isn't the point where every outrageous thing's been normalized and folks just don't care...

On the lighter Mika and Joe note,Joe dry snitched on the manbaby today by revealing he tried to extort them by leveraging negative press against them to stop them from criticizing him

He says he's got receipts too after tiny hands tried denying it in his AM tweets today

This is why Trump is "winning" the media is focusing on stupid tweets and it gets the Russia stuff off the front page. The Flynn stuff is way more important and damaging, but here we are talking about tweets.

The problem is that none of this hurts trump with his base. The only thing that would is if trump started acting sane and showed respect to others.

You're absolutely right about this. They see it as "fighting back" it's so ridiculous how far this cult has gone out of it's way to make excuses for Trump.

He has hijacked the press, the republican party, and the presidency. He's trying to hijack the supreme court as well.

The thing is that none of this is sustainable. It'll implode at some point. But the question has always been how long it's going to take and how bad the damage will be.

These twitter meltdowns are not what'll hurt trump the most. What will hurt him is big events (war, terrorist attack, school shooting, economic crisis, natural disaster, etc). That's when his crudeness and incompetence will be on display and it'll finally hit home for some people.

The 2028 VICE PRESIDENT Whywesteppin is doing EXCELLENT work I here. DAPPER DON IS fighting for COAL worldwide. We need to FIGHT BACK ANY WAY WE CAN Against Fake news, innuendo and conjecture.

With the political world distracted by President Trump's media wars, one of the most consequential and contentious internal debates of his presidency unfolded during a tense meeting Monday in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, administration sources tell Axios.

The outcome, with a potentially profound effect on U.S. economic and foreign policy, will be decided in coming days.
With more than 20 top officials present, including Trump and Vice President Pence, the president and a small band of America First advisers made it clear they're hell-bent on imposing tariffs — potentially in the 20% range — on steel, and likely other imports.
The penalties could eventually extend to other imports. Among those that may be considered: aluminum, semiconductors, paper, and appliances like washing machines.
One official estimated the sentiment in the room as 22 against and 3 in favor — but since one of the three is named Donald Trump, it was case closed.

No decision has been made, but the President is leaning towards imposing tariffs, despite opposition from nearly all his Cabinet.

In a plan pushed by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and backed by chief strategist Steve Bannon (not present at the meeting), trade policy director Peter Navarro and senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, the United States would impose tariffs on China and other big exporters of steel. Neither Mike Pence nor Jared Kushner weighed in either way.

Everyone else in the room, more than 75% of those present, were adamantly opposed, arguing it was bad economics and bad global politics. At one point, Trump was told his almost entire cabinet thought this was a bad idea. But everyone left the room believing the country is headed toward a major trade confrontation.

The reason, we're told: Trump's base — which drives more and more decisions, as his popularity sinks — likes the idea, and will love the fight
.

The problem, according to top officials who argued strenuously that the move is ill-advised: The trade war wouldn't just affect China. The collateral damage would include a slew of allies, including Canada, Mexico, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Watch for: Trump was warned — and White House officials anticipate — that an affected industry like automakers is likely to seek a court injunction within hours of any tariffs on steel.

War on the media is all Trump and conservatives have left — since they can’t get anything done
Conservatives have totally lost the ability to govern, so they attack the press to distract the public

Over time, however, scoldings of this nature have grown less effective, especially in the case of Republican elected officials. Six months into his presidency, public perception of Trump’s honesty has barely shifted. Fifty-three percent of Americans thought he was dishonest when he assumed office. Around 58 percent think so this month, according to polling done by Quinnipiac University.

In large measure, this is due to the fact that conservative media outlets and GOP politicians have created an atmosphere on the right where truth is relative and facts are merely a matter of perception.

There is tremendous hypocrisy in this, considering that conservatives have spent decades accusing the left of believing in “moral relativism.” Yet they literally want journalists to uncritically relay every specious claim made by Republicans — preventing millions of people from receiving Medicaid benefits is somehow an increase in “freedom” — while also insisting that no one should reexamine the dictates of scripture books written during the Bronze Age. The right loves to rail against postmodernism even as it has inculcated the school of thought’s worst philosophical tenets.

I should know. I spent nearly a decade and a half creating and writing for a number of conservative publications, frequently accusing mainstream journalists of being unfair toward Republicans.

Yeah. The democrats and media need to call them out and say how stupid they look.

His escort wife talks about fighting against online bullying but says her owner gets bullied so he hits back ten times worse.

sarah huckabee just says he's fighting back.

He likes insulting people on their looks then everyone needs to just refer to him as an orange piece of crap.

People should report his twitter for posting hateful stuff and insulting people. Delete his garbage account.
