Still baffles me that Bernie lacks Black American support while Hillary is thriving on it.
A lot of black activists are bought and paid for by the Clintons –John C. Lewis, Michael Eric Dyson, not to mention the parents of Jordan Davis and Trayvon Martin . Media coverage earlier in the election for Bernie Sanders was damn near non-existent. It is no better now really. There has also been widespread voter suppression during the primaries that has benefited Hillary Clinton.

???. Sorry, should I have said IMO. LOL

You could have just said you disagreed.

You can also look up my points if you want.

Saying they're "purely conjecture" without backing that statement up is also "purely conjecture."

DAS Demokrats are going thru da civil war but at the end of da day
what most politicians want in this election is to keep Trump out of the white
house. That's the one unifying factor,

Because he's da only one that threatens their

Apparatus that gives them their power..hence

Trump's massive appeal.

-You made the claims, the burden is on you to provide the evidence.

-I don't just disagree, your claims lack truth.
No media attention: Bernie was getting media attention. He was on the news plenty of times early last year saying he might run to "get his ideas of there". He announced is a quick media briefing last April. Media outlets covered that he was getting big crowds, media outlets covered when he got ran up on twice by BLM. If you looked at non mainstream outlets, the coverage was even greater. He was getting the coverage proportional to what a candidate of his popularity usually gets.

Of the three major 24/7 news networks, MSNBC slurps him, Fox mentions any times he hands Clinton an L it is only CNN not showing his speeches and focusing on Trump I see being used as examples of the media ignoring him

Black members bought: This is the most out there claim you made. So any public black figure that supports Hillary Clinton is bought. Including someone like Cory Booker, who doesn't need the Clinton machine backing him. If anything, seeing probably the second most beloved black politician behind Barrack Obama, Clinton needs his support more than the other way around. SO he is bought too?

What about the black people supporting Bernie, is Killa Mike bought? Is Rosario Dawson bought?

There are legit reason why someone, including a black person, would support Clinton over Bernie. For example, Bernie made the mistake of being last candidate to add criminal justice reform to his platform. And only started talking about it a lot after BLM ran on up him twice.

There have been a couple articles discussing in detail about how Hillary messaging and campaign have resonated with the black community and why Bernie message hasn't.

Barack Obama had to work to steal the black vote from Clinton, I don't know why people didn't expect Bernie to have to do the same thing.

I love my mans Bernie, but if he is attaching enough minority voters, is partly because of his doing.

Voter suppression: I assume you mean Arizona. Yes what happened there was joke but let us remember the reason it happen is because of voter ID laws put in place by Republicans to suppress minority voters. Not by the DNC to help Hillary Clinton. I'm suppose to believe in a county with a large majority county, that would have been all the difference in the world to Bernie.

Or are you talking about the voting machines? How exactly then would Clinton be able to pay off Republicans to have registered Dems changed to independents, somehow knowing these people would vote for Bernie? I wonder how much outrage there will be over those lines if Bernie had won.

Because you can ask anyone here, I have been pissed off about voter ID laws for a good minute, and I support Bernie btw.

And I say all this because I want progressives, especially white progressives to walk away from this election as a learning experience.

Asking themselves "why didn't your message connect", and "what else needs to be done to address the concern of minority groups"

Not "Clinton stole the election", "black people just think bill for no reason", "Can't they see what's best for them"

his low IQ supporters are following him like the Pied Piper.

The language here is a bit harsh, but after a while I can see getting frustrated by these kinds of people referring to anyone else as "sheep".

Rosario Dawson and Killer Mike? You think they have more political sway than Senator Lewis, Michael Eric Dyson and the parents of black men killed by the police? We can agree to disagree.

So this is truth?

The New York Times and the Boston Globe both endorse Hillary Clinton. Look it up.

"Voter suppression: I assume you mean Arizona. You proved part of my point. I never said Hillary made the laws but they do benefit her.

Voter suppression also applies to re-districting and non-voting felon laws that largely effect the states in which Hillary has won. Again, Hillary may not responsible but they do benefit her.

Here's another example.

"There are legit reason why someone, including a black person, would support Clinton over Bernie. For example, Bernie made the mistake of being last candidate to add criminal justice reform to his platform. And only started talking about it a lot after BLM ran on up him twice."

Bernie not mentioning criminal justice reform may have been a reason not to support Bernie but it was NOT a reason to support Clinton. Clinton, up to that point, hadn't mentioned it either! Not only that but mass incarceration rose by 60% under her husband, Bill Clinton who signed the Violent Crime Control and Enforcement Act in 1994.

"Because you can ask anyone here, I have been pissed off about voter ID laws for a good minute, and I support Bernie btw."

My initial post wasn't directed at you in particular but I do appreciate your argument. I just don't think not supporting Bernie should have been an automatic vote for Hillary but there are reasons why.

My initial post wasn't directed at you in particular but I do appreciate your argument. I just don't think not supporting Bernie should have been an automatic vote for Hillary but there are reasons why.

-My point is that anyone, any black person has the right to choose the preferred candidate. There are legit reasons to vote for Clinton over Bernie, even for black people. Bernie went around campaigning with black people just like Hillary. He did it for the same reason as Hillary, to show that the concerns of the black community is important to his campaign.

You trying to imply that Hillary's actions were disingenuous because higher profile people supported her? That proves nothing

-brah Bernie voted FOR Bill's tough on crime bill, even saying on the House flaw that the bill would hurt African Americans.

And the state he represents is one of the worst offenders of locking up black people disproportionately.

Either both get a break, both get to bring a context to explain away their actions, or both get the **** you.

You can't give it to one and got the other, both those Clinton's and Sanders hands are dirty with that piece of **** legislation. **** both of them for it.

And since that is the case, both should be campaigning that they will making undoing the damage priority. Clinton did it at the start of her campaign. It took Bernie months and getting ran up on twice to finally get the message. Famb played him by allowing that to happen

So if it both a washes there, then people just look a their platform they will see they agree on most issues, but Sanders plans go further, but also cost way more. Someone, even a black people, maybe be that the pragmatic choice would be to go for Clinton, because Bernie can't deliver on all his promises.

Hell look at the debates, they agree on nearly everything, but Clinton explains her policies in much more detail, and provides more lucid explanations.

-Yes it is the truth. Bernie Sanders is getting the attention expect someone with his poll numbers to get. Plus the person that is stealing all the attention he could be getting is not Hillary, it is Donald Trump. LINK

-Your "voter suppression helps Hillary" argument doesn't make much sense. Voter suppression is target at mainly minorities. Hillary is winning the minority vote at by a good clip.

So if anything, the laws helped Bernie because more potential Hillary voters got turned away in the South, and they give out delegates proportionately. So Bernie caught smaller fades than he should have in those states.

You're telling me "yeah, demographics that usually vote Clinton are being targeted by this side issues created by the Republicans" it must be helping her. That doesn't make any sense

And it pisses me off that this as become such a major issues for some folk only after the "assume" it helped Hillary Clinton. Voter suppression against minorities is been going on, and what it takes for the outrage to come is thinking it cost Bernie a couple of delegates. Everyone should have been outrage about this since day one.

It boggles my mind how any educated person can listen to this and think "This is my man, I'll go vote for him"

Constant deflecting and using the exact same catchphrases over and over again which somehow seems to work on his crowd.

"This [insert talking point here] is bad, it is very very bad. I will fix it, we will fix it and you're gonna love it. Believe me, you will. America is not winning at this moment, I will make us win again. Believe me."

He rarely ever mentions any sort of strategy or concrete plans to achieve these things but the crowd eats it up like he's preaching holy gospel.

I must say it's actually quite impressive how he's manipulating all these people, he definitely knows what he's doing in that regard.

This is basically all he says. I have to question his supporters gullability at this point. Like look at this thread, barely anything he has actually said has been used for any serious conversation, it's always what someone else said.

You linked a Washington Post article that states Bernie Sanders has less media coverage than the other candidates. Did you mean to prove my point? Why does it seem like you're still arguing with me?

The Washington Post also endorses Hillary Clinton btw.

You have a point with the crime bill but Bernie Sanders supported the part of the bill that banned assault rifles as a representative of the house. He also spoke out against the face that in disproportionately affect African Americans not for it. Vermont is 95% white. The states incarceration rate of black people reflected what was happening in the country as a whole. In spite of all of this even you support Bernie Sanders. Why?

Again, a no vote for Bernie Sanders should not equal a vote for Hillary but it did. I proposed that it had to do with the media coverage. Her support from the congressional black caucus and cases of voter suppression

I think you're argument is he is not getting his message across? Honestly I'm not sure what your argument really is lol.
