There's also the fact that the other states where Latinos are predominant saw the implementation of pretty harsh anti-immigration laws that Florida and East Coast Latinos never had to deal with. That explains why the appeal of Trump wasn't tainted there.

so the ones in FL and other non-border states haven't experienced the same racism of the GOP over the years as the border states and they hold to right-leaning policies. makes sense, thanks.

if I was Biden on the campaign trail I would've started every single rally with "how many of you lost your job and your stimulus and unemployment ran out? How many people here have sadly lost a loved one due to a pandemic that was ignored by the man currently in power?"
