Half my family is Cuban, but I’m not. To them, the Democratic Party is socialist and will establish a socialist regime in the United States. They were very successful in business in Cuba and have been successful in the United States, and they look down on a lot of the newer immigrants.

I know the reason Cubans the vote Republican is because "**** you, I got mine," but do they think there's not enough money to go around in the US for their own people? What businesses are they?

this is how i understand it from vietnamese friends and what I've read about cubans and similar groups. if there's more to the story, i'm very curious.

There are well documented cases of racism in Cuba against Afro-Latinos and even racism against the BLM movement in Vietnam.
