***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I just don’t understand why people don’t realize that Florida is the DEEP SOUTH! Broward,PB and Dade are melting pots. Other than that, Florida is basically alabama, Georgia, etc.

People can’t get it through their skull. Florida is a RED state. Always has been

Basically a bunch of country folks in the tropics. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale

Biden lost votes in Miami-Dade where Hillary won in 2016... Trump seemingly convinced Cuban-Americans in that area that Biden was a socialist.

To be honest ... we just need a third party. One led by Bernie ideology.

A party thats for the low/middle income that represent the majority of the country.

Every Democrat that is an extremists for the low/middle class always gets smackdown by the Democrat.
My Bae AOC gonna hold it down for low/middle class when she runs

I agree

like it sucks, it really awful, voter suppression, racism, the racist structure of the seante. it's all very dark stuff.

but

Politicians still gotta find a way to win.

and it just seems like a lot of these racism comments from blue check mark twitter sounds like people hunting for retweets.

Stop reading Jemele Hill man. I think the vast majority of Dems are realizing they got actual inrows to make with minority groups especially after what has taken place in Miami-Dade. But a lot of that can easily be explained with misinformation and mischaracterization that worked with different Latino groups on Joe Biden of all people being a socialist. The black vote is more complicated.

democrats piss me off man.

they love to lose and I hate and can't respect it.

yes american is a racist country with racist institutions.

BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO WIN.

To me, Democrats are trying to let themselves off the hook with this racism talk.

it just seems to me tanking with texas and florida latino's is a strange time to start talking about racism.
Love to lose? The Dems, Libs or what have we strategically leveraged the events of 2020 in their favor to even have a chance at removing Trump from office. Because let's face it, this election was never really about finding a better Head of State. It was more so about getting Trump "The **** up outta here!"

Also, I wanna say that majority of the under 18 Americans didn't rock with Trump. So I know it's discouraging for many to see that with a massive youth vote that Biden is still narrowly ahead, but all those young kids in social media platforms ripping on Trump are not yet old enough to vote. A 14-17 year old child will be old enough to vote next election and if the turnout is about the same as this year, Democrats will be in a much better position.
Only if Democrats take care of them now. Wanna lock theor vote in? Free university or trade school.
Otherwise, when they end up saddled with school debt from predatory banks, they will be ripe for the picking when a Turning Point USA moron points at the foreign kid with the bad accent and tells those kids that "the immigrant who can't speak English is the reason why he can't get scholarships."

My bad, def not trying to come off that way. I'm just trying to say if it was in your ability and interest wouldn't you want to move. If it's not in your ability I totally get it. It's also difficult to uproot yourself and your family and start over somewhere new. People don't choose where they're born.
No. If I vote blue and live in a blue community, why would I move because the community 30 miles away votes red?
Now if this was the 50s 60s 70s and even the early 80s, yes I would have to relocate or risk violence.
We own guns and ammunition now so they can act a fool if they want to :emoji_gun:🔫

To be honest Rep have better interest of middle class than the Dems. The Dems have better interest of Low income than the Reps.

Thats why you see such a big split IMHO.

Middle class is ****** either way because the help from the Rep is not enough and when it comes to the Dems, well the Middle class is ******.

takes money to make money
big business controls the government

I've visited Houston and Dallas and have family in both places.

I've also heard about Austin being very liberal.

But ya, I don't really know about life or living in America. Trying to understand better from there.

you Can get a 5br, 2 story home in texas for like 250-300k.... in Florida, 300k gone get you a 3x1 in the hood.

Vote 🟢

When we get that 5% it'll be recognized as a legit third party

This is purely a guess, but...

I think this election locks in Trumpism as the dominant political strategy for the GOP for the foreseeable future.

All things considered, their strategy of not running away from Trump got rewarded at the polls. They were expecting a bloodbath, but only got a cut.

Going be interesting to see how things play out with (or I should say if) trump not as the president

obviously he has the stuff that comes when he’s not president

but can those people pull off that BS without him.. and then what happens in 4 years when others try to get their turn and trump tries to come back

The Postal Inspection Service found 13 undelivered ballots across the inspection facilities a judge ordered the USPS to search prior to 3 p.m. on Election Day, a far cry from the alarmist reports claiming more than 300,000 ballots supposedly undelivered based on a misinterpretation of reported USPS data.

In an update to the court filed on Wednesday morning, Daniel Brubaker of the Postal Inspection Service certified his agency conducted sweeps of the facilities in Central Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Detroit, Colorado/Wyoming, Atlanta, Houston, Alabama, Northern New England, Greater South Carolina, South Florida, Lakeland and Arizona as ordered by the court to check for missing ballots. Out of all those facilities, they found three ballots in Johnston, Pennsylvania, and ten in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and these ballots were "expedited by management for delivery."

The controversy originated on Election Day when reporters noticed court filings in which the USPS reported some 300,000 pieces of election mail scanned into their mail stream but never scanned out for delivery. But there are perfectly reasonable explanations for this which the USPS has repeatedly explained to the court in previous filings. In short, the USPS has been taking "extraordinary measures" to expedite ballot delivery, particularly in the last few days, that involve removing ballots from the normal processing process and getting them directly to election officials.
