Two separate questions, Biden won the primaries because mainstream media still refuses to acknowledge the south crowns the Dem nominee. It's an open secret that calls were made (clyborn waited until 3 nights before SC) , how else do you account for candidates with 4X the delegates Biden had dropping out of the race? If nothing was done Bernie would have moonwalked to the nom....

The best of a weak field is still weak........

LOL. Bless your heart.

“Only Bernie WE acknowledge is Mac”

Primaries are different than general elections. The voter bases of both parties tend to believe that this country, fundamentally, belongs to the right wing. Wether or not it’s a the best overall strategy is debatable but Democratic primary voters pass up on candidates they like and choose a candidate they believe appeals to some share of the Republican coalition. By contrast, Republican voters simply pick the candidate they Ike the most.

Republicans really need to get their messaging straight. So are Democrats lazy people with no jobs who need handouts/government assistance or are Democrats wealthy, elites with high-paying jobs who run major corporations?

This is especially hypocritical coming from Ted Cruz whose wife is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Republican politicians love to use the "working class", "everyman" routine until you look at their finances and background. They love to rail against overeducated, Ivy League types until you realize that they went to those same Ivy League schools themselves.

Powerful Republicans love to rail against over-educated, Ivy League liberals until you realize that those Republicans went to the same Ivy League schools. They'll tell your kids that college is a waste of money and leads to liberal endocrination when their kids go to Yale. I can't believe people actually fall for this BS

It seems like high income counties is a pretty inaccurate way to measure for whom the wealthy vote.

Poor people live in every county, so even “rich” counties have a lot of poor people. You can have a few super wealthy enclaves making the mean income look high. If you go by median income, that reduces the effect of those outliers but there’s still the problem of counties with high income tend to have expensive housing so people making the national median or even more than the national median are not doing very well financially.
