I'm currently reading Obama's A Promised Land and am at the point where Barack talks about his first few months in office and dealing with the financial crisis.
There's some really wild consistencies between that crisis and today's situation in terms of how the GOP, and especially Mitch is choosing to handle this.
Even Susan Collins got in on the hypocrisy... "Collins demanded the bill be stripped of dollars for school construction and that it include an 'AMT Patch' - a tax provision that prevented upper middle class Americans from paying a higher tax bill"
