Majority of Today's male youth is on that right wing alpha steez. I hear it and see it every day. Even in poverty stricken hoods the vibe with minority male youth is trump
This makes me wonder if easy access to porn and echochambers has created a lot of younger red pill and incel males who don't really interact with many women.

Got my first bit of good news from this mess. Its small but its something.

Little backstory: My wife has a good friend who is pretty liberal, a minority, and is a solid 8-9. Just a very good looking woman and has a good career. Couple years back she started dating and married this absolute meathead chud. Typical maga/rogan bro and no one ever knew what she saw in him. They recently moved to a red state so he could be a truck driver. Dude pretty much voted solely on immigration and this caused tension for a while leading up to the election.

Fast forward to tonight, he went home after drinking with his bros. She told him she's getting her tubes tied and he said no. She asked him if he'd raise the baby if she got raped and dude had no idea what she was even talking about. Big fight ensued and now she has a plane ticket tomorrow morning to come stay at our house and she's filing for divorce.

Dude threw away his marriage to someone way, way out of his league cause he was scared of immigrants while living in a suburb 1500 miles from the border.

Sorry for the rant but probably the first time I smiled since yesterday.
Gotta own the libs, even if it means ruining your marriage lol

How many jobs and projects did Biden's infrastructure bill produce or projected to?

Projected to create 1.5 million jobs per year for the next 10 years.

In 2023, nine megaprojects received grants:

  • $250 million to improve the Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Kentucky
  • $292 million to help complete the final section of concrete casing for the new Hudson River Tunnel outside New York City
  • $78 million for the Roosevelt Boulevard Multimodal Project in Philadelphia
  • $150 million to replace the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana
  • $110 million to replace the Alligator River Bridge in North Carolina that will modernize travel to the Outer Banks
  • $60 million to improve the I-10 Freight Corridor in Mississippi

💯 all this. Online video games and the ease to access them exacerbated this. I saw the first signs in 2009ish when I coached high schoolers. I was like so what do y’all do after school? Oh we hop on Xbox and play COD. I’m like for real that’s it? Y’all ain’t going to chill somewhere after school to meet people and stuff? They were like no. I was in shock. And in retrospect I wasn’t that much older than these kids. Maybe 7 years older.

Watch This, its a bit old, from 45's first term but watch it anyways.I think it speaks to the mentality of the non-melanated Trump supporters, at least... half of them.

I mean a lot of white people feel this way from the boomers and gen X. I hear it first hand from those generations

Personally, I couldn’t care less if the president is racist or not as long as he’s not harming anyone. There’s plenty of people I hate but I leave them alone unless we absolutely need to interact on a transactional basis.

Let’s pretend Trump is one of those rare bigoted people that doesn’t act on his views and lets others do what they want.

I keep seeing more of the “Democrats are out of touch about the economy.” I 100% agree with this point-people keep talking about how the economy is so strong, but everything is expensive while jobs have barely increased wages to meet those costs.

However, I want to know a)what concrete policy Trump offers that will fix the cost of living for the average American and b)how it’s superior to what Democrats had to offer.

I swear, if someone can give me something other than “Biden’s economy is the worst so why not try with Trump” or “MAGAAA!!! Cry Libs!!” I’ll gladly admit that Trump is a superior choice in this aspect.

All I’m asking for is a clear explanation of his beneficial policies and plans and why they will save the middle class. I hate eating my daily vegetables with a passion but I don’t go and try to eat dog @$&$ just to see if something different will fill me up, so please don’t give me that “what have we got to lose” nonsense from 2016 again.

+podcasts, social media idols, etc.
+kids in sports that have a bad culture (example: hockey can be a toxic environment)

Colleague said her husband would've voted Trump/supports Trump cause it would help his work. Pretty low level thinking imo that he would support Trump... and then wait to see if his daughters get declined medical care they need cause certain medical procedures are illegal.

The metrics used to measure the economy usually don't reflect that of individual households. The whole of our economy is fine, people are complaining but continue to keep spending. Prices and costs are still recovering from the impact of Covid-19 and the conflicts that have taken place since. Costs for materials, supply chain disruptions, labor, and etc. Large corporations have also increased prices and used Covid-19, inflation, war as an excuse to increase prices. We the consumers pay the costs that they incur at the prices they set. Corporations are making more money than ever, a long with boosting the pockets of executives which is adding to the huge income inequality we face in our country and the world.

The overall metrics look good, but in reality there many internal and external factors that affect the economy and the perception of it. Things like housing costs, healthcare, food costs all make people think the economy is not doing well a long with stagnant wages. The Fed have been tackling inflation with monetary policies to cool down our over spending, its working but it takes time, people want it NOW. The other thing we can do is hold corporations more accountable for how they set wages and protecting the rights of workers and stand with them...more regulation on corporations, but thats not the Republican way and won't be for the next 4 years since they favor de-regulation.

Build more houses, target our spending, hold corporations more accountable the list goes on...

I can only think of these as the positives for the fiasco that just happened
- he cant run ever again
- he will tank this country and create even worse turmoil with other nations that WE all learn not to F around and Find out
- the middle and working class who voted for the criminal and not the prosecutor will taste the high costs that his presidency will bring; just like the first time
- he cant run ever again.

Piers Morgan said Trump should identify as a woman and become the first female president. LOL

what can they say? if he feels like a woman he is a woman

It’s funny how this became the barometer for a politician caring. We can look at things like their policies or if their ideology upholds the notion that every is entitled to pleasant, nutritious food.

No, no, no, we make candidates play a memorization game.

Speaking of groceries,

Gotta go to a specialty shop down in LA. Get a whole leg of Jamón Ibérico, then cover it with bags of dried pasta and bunches of parsley.

“Look at what it costs just to feed my family, all thanks to Trump.”

Once those China tariffs hit next year, everything on Temu is about to be more expensive. That cute little useless label maker you bought for no reason other than it being $1.99? Aint gonna be buying it when it’s $14.99 under Trump’s Temu.

If you call someone a Nazi one day and you’re congratulating them and shaking their hand the next, either one of two things is true.

1.) you were being hyperbolic or outright lying

2.) you are a Nazi collaborator

There are parallels to the Third Reich and MAGA but you need to make them between their policies. IMO the mass deportations-as-housing-plan is the best example.

But once you’ve made that comparison, you have to be prepared to break a few symbolic post election norms and many liberal politicians are afraid of doing so.

I disagree. Democracy only works if you abide by the votes of the people. She may very well still believe that he will take away democracy, and I’d be right there beside her believing that same notion. But if the people vote for fascism, are perfectly fine with having their voice suppressed, and want to see an agent of chaos wreak havoc, it would be hypocritical of her to say the election was rigged or even try to influence Biden into disqualifying the election. Because at that point she would become exactly what they are. behind the scenes she’s probably thinking the same thing we are, “he’s gonna **** this up again.“ But at face, she had to be gracious in defeat even if she’s seething at her core.

I dont think I can physically make it through another 4 years of a Trump news cycle **** show every single day man. I really dont.
4 years isnt a small amount of time, its 5% of our lives and he took 5% already.
The last 4 years was a blessing honestly, things were mostly normal, politics were normal like they always are under dems. He's gonna eff so much up just off the fact he owes a lot to his donors now and they all want their investment back. Makes me sick to think how many future candidates might follow Trump's playbook and win again because it seems thats what people like now

corporate home ownership bans, foreign ownership bans do little to increase the supply of housing.

what they mostly do is allow cash rich americans who have a downpayment ready to go to purchase a home that would have been rented to a lower income person.

they did a study on this
  • Two studies on Rotterdam, where they restricted investor-owned rental housing in certain neighborhoods, found that home prices did not decrease in the year following the policy.
    • Home ownership did increase, but conversely, rental availability went down (because investor-owned units are often rented out), and rental prices increased by 4%.
    • Because of the shift away from renter-occupancy, the demographics of these neighborhoods saw fewer young people and immigrants and more higher income people—gentrification, effectively

so renters face higher prices while some lucky rich people gets to buy.

most effective way to lower prices is to increase the supply of homes.

aka build more of them.
Rotterdam in the Netherlands?

That's an apples to oranges comparison. Europe doesn't have as much space as we have here when you factor in the population. Rotterdam is extremely densely populated. Not to mention we have building materials here readily available like lumber whereas they have to import it.

We live in a society where streamers are a thing now. These kids watch other people live their lives and live vicariously through them

These gen Z kids are dumb. There's a popular category called GRWM. People watch others get ready like putting on an outfit. If you can't put an outfit together on your own then that just shows the inability or refusal to think on your own

Since we got the election results I've seen some of these Gaza goofballs openly admit that they do not plan to continue protesting for Gaza under the Trump administration. Basically they are willing to protest when it is easy and protest against soft targets like Democrats but don't have the balls to stand up to the Trump administration because they know Trump will literally laugh at them and call the cops.

So basically they're going to sit back and do nothing while Trump completely annihilate to Gaza. These protests accomplished less than nothing. All they did was allow Trump to win and now they have an even more antagonistic presidential administration to deal with.
