Mayor's office hours: tell him what you think about the Kings

If you've been looking for a chance to tell Mayor Kevin Johnson what you think about the Kings' possible move to Anaheim and the push to build a new arena and entertainment center in Sacramento, now's your shot.

The mayor is holding office hours Thursday evening at the

in the Pocket. The event is being packaged as "A Night of Public Safety," but it also seems like a good opportunity for city residents to let their opinions be known on all things Kings.

Those who show up at office hours typically get about five minutes of face time with the mayor.

Thursday's event is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Didion School is at 6490 Harmon Dr., not far from the shopping plaza at Riverside Boulevard and Florin Road.

Also scheduled to attend are Councilman Darrell Fong, who represents the Pocket/Greenhaven area, Police Chief Rick Braziel and Dinger, the mascot of the Sacramento River Cats.
