Basically 9 mil lost 2 mil gained to release him now = 7 mil to release immediately (according to Lombardi)

or 7 mil to have him next season

I guess they decided if they’re paying him another 7 mil that they might as well see if they can maybe squeeze another couple games out of him in fall 2022

I cant remember the exact play but I do remember him with a slight limp and came out after one of his catches. Also said that field felt like getting tackled on concrete. I think anyone would be sore as hell all over after that type of production the past two weeks
