That's extremely impressive.

What are your guys thoughts on having a full arm sleeve with two different themes?

Right now I have a half sleeve with the koi fish/maple leaves/etc. and I've been thinking of getting my fore arm wrapped with something dedicated towards my faith (Jesus, angel). Thoughts on having two different themes?

Also, has anyone heard of Lowrider Tattoos in Fountain Valley, CA? My sister got a tattoo done their and I was blown away with the quality. Looked on their website and it looks like great stuff.

I think that is common. More common is people just getting tons of random tattoos everywhere, let alone different sleeves. It's hard to stay consistant with tattoos. The people that do probably just have the money to get a huge one straight off the bat and stop after that. The people that have that itch will just get tattoos all the time untill they are covered. I think it is fine.

And Lowrider is where Jun Cha started. They are super legit in the industry but more poplular in LA cause of their style. My cousin worked under someone there too.

Saw this on Tumblr somewhere. Thought it was pretty cool, what do you guys think?

I'm no expert. The art looks great. My only problem with a tattoo like that is it just seems so heavy on ink and shading. I'm sure that's what they were going for and some of it has to do with it being new but IMO they tend to look worse more quickly down the road.

I have a friend that has his upper arm with the same type of dark work, it was incredible when he got it 5-6 years ago and he's obsessive, takes care of it, barely goes in the sun anyway and it's nowhere near as sharp now. Maybe it's the ink or artist but he has a bunch of others (sleeves now) from the same artist, they're either not as heavily shaded, in color, more lines, etc and all of those look really good. It's kind of a shame.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I definitely noticed the random tats then "connecting" them later on with some people I know.

And yeah, I actually just noticed Jun being one of the artists on their website. I guess he got so big that he prob branched out to do his own work.

Thanks for always the good feedback bro.

^^^No doubt,

Pretty much. My first tattoo is definitely showing its age and only after like 4 years or so. But I think most tattoos are definitely for the moment and a memorabilia more so then long lasting art. I believe ink expands over time and loses its intensity. The tattoo above will definitely not look as good in the long run and most of the detail will just blend in. I really do appreciate the art but tattoos do have to be functional and not just artistic. That is why when I see tattoos that look like art pieces, I think it is just better left on paper or canvas. Tattoos should be tattoos and breaking outside of that will get you something odd looking in the long run. But again, that is a bad piece and I'd be happy with that regardless how it turns out.

I am just throwing this out there. I am a huge Mike Giant fan and the dude is covered with tattoos. Even after some age, they still look super good to me. Notice most of them are traditional styles, which explains its longevity even though they are years old.

I still watch that bad show Tattoo Master. Next week this attractive girl wants a phoenix coming out of her vagina. I definitely want to see how that turns out :lol. I've actually seen some tattooed vaginas on tumblr and a few were really cool. The cool ones were usually evil looking though with a devil face or demon. A girl with a tattoo like that should be on my bucket list.

IMO it would look odd. Two very distinct "themes" will look weird I think. For example, traditional Japanese on your upper arm then traditional type tattoos on your forearm. Might look odd. It depends what you have now and what you want. I think my upper arm looks weird being black and white and my forearm is traditional. It  only works since I added roses to my upper arm design and the black and grey kinda trickle down to my forearm (well, in the future when I get around to getting it done) to make a gray background around all the stuff I have on my forearm.

^^^^^I agree but I guess what I meant is I don't think it should stop you from getting any style of tattooing. It make sense to stick to a theme but it's all relative really. I personally don't think it is that weird. I've seen people with all types of tattoos and I personally love them all. I know some people are more concious about how they overall look but some people just don't give a damn and I respect both. Overall and as so damn cliche as it is to say, just get what you want. If it fits you, you can pull it off.

I think it'll look a bit odd if it's on the same sleeze.

My left arm consists of an angel, a demon, and a skull of a wolf.

Looking to go the more traditional Japanese style on my right soon.

I've shown this before...but here was the WIP on the my left sleeve.

Wow, this is the same dude I just replied to in another post. He's definitely not that bright.

As BIGBOSS said, if you open up your eyes, you'll easily see people of ALL races with awful tattoos.

lol because you know its true.. i seen a damn white dude with a ******g cartoon dog on his forearm ... right next to a damn skull .... and some stars and flowers... lol get my drift
How old are you?

And how close minded are you?

There always has to be that ONE person in every thread that says dumb **** like this, and they actually think they are right.

I think he is just trolling or trying to get his post count up, because in another thread i've seen him post like 10 times in 2 pages

I'm gonna go ahead and say you have no tattoos

Just sent a deposit to jun cha. Does anyone know how to get in touch with nikko hurtado? I've been emailing with no response the past few weeks.

nice... but i could not wait that long.. jun cha will do some sick work.. im thinkin bout going to all or nothing tattoos in ATL.. phillies ryan howard went there.. wondering if some people went to all or nothing tattoos?

besides, who cares what other people have tattooed? even if it is so stupid, to them it means something, so why would you hate on them getting something they want? imo it is a good thing that not everyone has the same taste..

but i gotta say, even money will not buy you good taste.. see, majority of rappers...

Always enjoy looking around these threads, props to Fongstarr and all the other regular posters for always puttin in work to keep them moving along.

Anyways, I have an appointment booked for early december, I am looking to get a northern pike. Been searching for some pics to get ideas and have some visuals to help me explain to my artist what I want. If you guys have any pics of pike/game fish tattoos, or really any fish tattoos besides koi it would help alot. I am leaning towards a more traditional style tattoo but wanna go in with an open mind and work with my artist and his ideas.
