***Official Tattoo Thread: Inked-4-Life Vol.2***

Too broke to get six tats I want right now. But also the fact that I don't have any is impeding the whole process

I would recommend my guy in NY but he's currently doing a bid and won't be home until Jan 2016 from what I've heard :{ :lol

His portrait game is the best in NY from what I've seen... Kris Busching

Co-sign. On my last tattoo I was booked for two 3-hour sessions but my artist was able to knock it out in one 4-hour session. Due to this and along with attention to detail, I didn't mind tipping $100.

On my first tattoo I would only tip $10-15 per hour, or even nothing all when he cancelled my appointment without notifying me. Depends on their overall customer service

Adam Guy Hays, Red Rocket Tattoo.

Those of you in the NYC area might want to check this out.

Hit a brotha up if you need NYC suggestions.

Hmmm...I may hit up that Tattoo Expo tomorrow. Im off the weekend, any NTers finna go?

Whos charging $2500 for an 8 hour tattoo? Thats not unheard of, but usually if the rate is that high they charge for the whole piece, so unless he intends on finishing the piece in 8 hours idk what to tell you. Name of artist?

Finally got my first tattoo yesterday, an ambigram down my ribs, and you guys got me all paranoid about tipping. Will post pics when it's done healing.

Thinking of getting both of these Egyptian gods, Horus and Anubis. Problem is im trying to fit on my forearm (side facing away from my body, where people can see) Most likely gonna have to get the Heads of the Gods only. horus on top of anubis facing the way they already are.

Any thoughts NT breths, Would that look stupid lol

So nervous about starting my sleeve. This dark skin is a different ball game. I hope the skin on my forearm is light enough for the tattoo to look crazy good and not just average.

average arms man more on skinny side

thats why im leaning towards stacking the heads vertically, anubis head on bottom then directly stacked on top is horus head.

the heads will fit forsure, no way can i fit two whole bodies on a forearm, tryna ask yall if its a bad look or not--heads only

Might being going with my boy to the NY tattoo convention... My boy is getting something done from Paul Booth

personally I'd rather put one head on each forearm. Or one on either side of the forearm rather then stack them vertically

Ask your tattoo artist. But I agree. Or do some sort of horizontal portrait on one arm.

Start to my second sleeve. Got this in hawaii 1 week ago. Pic is immediately after the tattoo was done. It's healing right now

can anyone help me find good sleeves with clouds in them? having trouble finding some good pics, but i've seen some legit clouds in person before.

Anybody able to recommend some good traditional artists in the Los Angeles area? Lookin to get somethin soon

I literally just googled this guy out of no where so don't quote me on anything but I think his work looks cool. Don't know of the shop at all but I would assume he could do your gypsy no prob. I like his style. Like real distinct black lines and his work has a nice twist to American style. Honestly though anyone can do you tattoo but I always look at how clean their lines are.

If you get traditional done go to someone who does 95% traditional work. When people try and do it who specialize in something else it always looks off.
