Thanks for some backup LTB, I already know CP is the no nonsense type so it don't take it personal when he disagrees. He disagrees with everything anyway

The writings on the wall so people are in a rush to pass the torch, write us off into the pasture of irrelevancy....I just think they're a year or 2 ahead of schedule. A lot of the teams projected ahead of us are very young and/or unproven teams besides the Spurs , who knows maybe GS takes a step back or it's some other teams year to get bit by the injury bug.

My man. :pimp:

I expect Kobe to come back and be 90% of Kobe, but 110% of Kobe last year was still barely enough. And we have 0% of Dwight, 0% of Ron, and 0% of what Earl Clark gave us. Plus we lose Jamison, who tho sucked, could get plenty of garbage buckets.

And now, we add a year to Nash and Pau. Now, they might remain healthy and play 80 games, that would be great. Will they learn to play defense too? :nerd:

Speaking of defense, Kobe's defense has been on about 11% the last two years, now he tore his achilles, what uh, what you think his lateral quickness gon be about? -937? -1.2 billion? My sister could drive by dude this season. She's had 3 kids man, only way she drive somewhere is with a minivan, but she could beat Kobe off the dribble this year.

Pick and rolls with Nash, Kobe and Pau involved will = a **** ton of dunks. Kaman and Hill will lead the league in fouls per second at record paces.

Now, yes, we will have a little more youth, some more speed, we should be fun to watch, scrappy bunch I bet. I surely do think there will be some "hope" for a brief time. But the word will spread. Tape will be seen. How to attack us will spread like wildfire. We will get demolished by smart, fast teams.

As for the West, we won't beat out SA, Houston, OKC, GS, Clippers, and Memphis for sure, that's six. Denver will be in the mix around 7. Dallas, meh, maybe in 7-8 range. Minnesota too. Portland will be in play at 6-8 as well. So best, best, best case, 7, and I doubt that very much.

And if we fall behind, and we're in the 8-10 range come trade dealine, and we have an eye on 2014 Draft class + free agent class, and someone needs a Nash, Pau, Kaman, etc, we're flippin. Which drops us lower.

LTB, as for MDA system, that needs a PG (2014 draft class) and then some shooters to space around, along with a big. This team is a bit old to run his exact system. IF, the front office buys into him enough, and gives him the time to build the roster to him, then he can succeed. If they stay with old folk and a lack of speed/shooting, he will fail. Very easy to see really. I'm not quite sure why some of you do not understand that half the NBA runs HIS system right now. The Heat, the Spurs, the Warriors, everybody runs the Pick and roll, spaced out with multiple shooters, PG with options, etc etc. He brought that stuff into vogue. The whole damn league copied him, and you guys all think he's complete trash. On defense, he is, yes. But his offensive system is what the whole league wants to mimmick, and you guys kill him. Don't nobody copy what Mike Brown does folks, there's a reason.
Let MDA get the pieces he requires, then judge him. And he was an Horry hip check away from a title, so please don't throw titles at me, I know all about them.

I honestly think we'll be better than expected. no shot blocking but the team has enough length to get stops here and there. I feel like pau still has some juice left he played well last year when healthy and in the post. really it all depends on what pau can do, if he can have a duncan-esque revival this team has some potential. 2nd round maybe further depending on matchups

at least we get training camp this year with mda

im optimistic but i wouldn't be too disappointed if it all went south

kaman is really the only guy I have zero expectations of
Kaman is a quality back up big.  Mike's recent comments about playing him with Pau in the starting line up is a recipe for "tanking."  Why the front office has yet to realize that Pau as this stage of his career excels at the 5 spot.  He's no longer a PF, too slow to defend the perimeter with these athletic stretch forwards.

Starting Line up assuming Kobe isn't ready for the season opener

Nash

Meeks

Nick

Hill

Pau

Paper Clips, Warriors and Spurs to start the season. 0-3 is a good way to start riggin for wiggins
