most disappointing laker moment is '08 finals. that 25 point lead. still cannot let that go. when the celtics came back the series was over.

Should've won game 1

Reffing was terrible in game 2. I never use that as an excuse when my teams lose but that free throw disparity that game was rediculous. Even with that they almost game back.

Game 4 still bugs me to this day how they blew it. Up 24 in the 3rd quarter to just see it all disappear.

That said had they won game 4, I'm still iffy on if they would win the title that year. Who knows if Boston approaches game 5 differently and they take game 5 had they lost game 4.

If they were to have won the tittle that year they needed to get a split the first 2 games in Boston imo. Its tough to win games 3-5 consecutively at home in a 2-3-2 series and even had they did they still needed to win a game in Boston.

That said 04 still pisses me off more. 04 they were expected to win and make short work of the pistons while everything ended up blowing up in the faces in the most humiliating way.

They avenged 08 by winning the title in 09 then got payback in Boston in 2010. Had they not beat Boston in 2010 perhaps I feel differently but given the circumstances 04 was a tougher pill to swallow for me.

Who cares if Lamar is doing a little bit or a lot of bit of white? He'll get his weight down where he needs to be and can provide that "birdman" spark off the bench that the clippers need.

I respect tradition but last time I went to a game the lakers were wayyy too old fashioned, to the point of being stale. they played organ music more than real music and the real music they played was all played out. if the crowd seems dead on tv it's because of all the church music being played at staples.

man i knew dwight was a *****, but damn. how much of a ***** move was his request to the lakers to stay? you play 1 year, and he already want it all. how you gonna ask ownership to kick the guy who has given so much to the city and franchise, out.

the audacity of this dude

On a day-to-day basis the Staples crowd definitely doesn't always bring it. But come playoffs it's a different story

Not saying it's right. But I think we get a bad rap

We definitely get a bad rap. I've been to a ton of games the past 4-5 years and we definitely know what games we need to bring it for, if it's for the mediocre teams I think people are just excited to see a Lakers game live.

I usually get pretty decent seats but when I sit up top it gets WILD :lol.. Definitely a lot of die-hard fans up there

Game 7 of the Boston series had the staples rockin' like no other, everyone was on their feet pretty much the entire game and going nuts on the simplest of plays. Never seen so much anxiety in 20,000 people :lol

Wow.. That's nut, I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall

Kobe came off a screen and roll, gained separation from his defender, but then had his jersey pulled. Like reached out and grabbed the back of his jersey...no whistle, no foul. :x

I was throwing things out of frustration watching that game. Couldn't believe the lack of calls.

How did josh powell get more votes than farmar?
Did jordan even do anything spectacular that year? Lol

Random but came across this on yt, might as well post this

I was 9 when this happened, remember watching it with my dad, uncles and my grandpa. Everybody was going nuts when they did the comeback :hat Also note the crowd, how I miss that.

Na he dunked on KG in game 6.
'08 hurt a ton. It was a almost a Cinderella story. I rember dude from ESPN saying Kobe was never going to be in a Lakers uniform again :lol then the emergence of Bynum to his fall and then setti the NBA an fire by getting PAU and causing teams to panic. Like Suns acquiring Shaq and Spurs going after Thomas

Classic moment I remember like it was yesterday me and my boy had a couple bucks on the series and when it got ugly he started yapping big time. Portland went ice cold in that 4 th quarter and we couldn't miss then Kobe capped it off with the oop to Shaq after he bopped Scottie :lol probly my fav comeback of all time.

Nick Young will make our team exciting to watch. We're like the Clippers of 2001. Speaking of which, I hope Lamar is okay. It burns me to hear that he got into drugs again.

So what's the exact list of new aquisitions we've made this summer?

I'm going to make it the next poll.
Which one of the new guys will have the best upcoming season for us.
