Speaking of Opie Cunningham & Thor... Finally got around to seeing Rush. It was kinda meh. I know Danial Bruhl is a German, but I thought the accent he tried using to become Lauda was forced & fake sounding. I also though Thor's portrayal of Hunt came off a little too mellow dramatic, almost even soap operaish.

Yeah, I've pretty much avoided the whole torture porn sub-genre on principle, but I hear there actually is some legitimate substance to the 1st Saw movie.

First one was a nice storyline. Was fresh and weird and creepy, it did the job. Glover did his thing. Then they sapped the substance and catered to the Eli Roth freaks.

Just came back from FURY.
What a film! Best war film I've seen to date.
Gripping, Haunting - Powerful. Logan Lerman is impressive, I just hope he can get away from this "boyish, skiddish" roles. Time to grow some facial hair and man up. The actors - Pitt, Pena, Bernethal and LaBeouf are outstanding, what a group, great core. It's rugged and very gorey but it feels true to form. Amazing details - and LaBeouf is so good. He plays a gunner who is a very religious man, and he is at the center of this religious undertone for the film. Now I'm not even slightly religious and hate when films are preachy - but the way they used religion inside of a tank in the middle of war is a beautiful thing. It was almost the backbone for the fight.
Can't recommend it strongly enough. Great film, bravo David Ayer.

And its not like that I dislike Jenna Malone. She's a solid actress. But I think making Robin a girl is a little too non-traditional for me.
