Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Yea, it's not very good. It started okay. Once they reached the research laboratory it all went downhill.

I thought the person with the longhair was a girl at first. Jake needs to snap that guy's neck.

Peeples was okay and had it's funny parts. Grier as per usual was hilarious. Malcolm Barrett had me dying when he showed up. 5.7/8

The Skeleton Twins wasn't good to me. I got it and everything but the story just wasn't good enough for a comedy or a drama. Only like 90 min but had me wanting it to end quickly. 3.8/8

Dear White People was really good. Covered a good amount of perspectives. I liked the little hypocritical twists with certain characters and overall struggle. 6.7/8

Top 5 was great. Worth it just for the DMX and Seinfeld scene and cameo :lol Dude really filled this movie with all his celeb friends. Cedric :rollin I actually liked that Rock gave some of these other characters some depth. Nice twist with Rosario's character and the gay bf :lol 7.5/8

I watched The a Theory of Everything this morning.

I was so impressed with him, Hawking, as a person. Eddie Redmayne made me feel like I was friends with Hawking. I hope he won a few awards for that role. I will check IMDB for that.

The acting on both leads is top notch.

Edit: I absolutely hated the music though. It was so so loud that every few seconds I had to turn the volume way way up to her the dialouge because of the accents and a few seconds later I had to turn it way way down again because the music kicked back in and it was blaring every time it was used. Terrible
My neighbor is his publicist. So proud of her when he won that Oscar. Came at a really tough time in her life, with her father passing a few days prior.

How you guys liking the colbert show
So far so good. I haven't watched every episode, but from what I've seen, he's having fun, the format allows him to stay in his comfort zone, and then he gets to do the fun/zany things too. His monologue won't dominant the first half of the show at all, he'll get behind the desk and it's very reminiscent of the Colbert Report with the graphics, jokes, etc. I love that he'll still keep the political side and you're definitely going to get more of that with the election coming up. And then he gets to do things like perform with Paul Simon.. it's hard to beat that.

I haven't seen him do any kind of remote/prerecorded pieces, though... except for that George Clooney fake movie bit. I'm really looking forward to see how that looks. I'm not expecting him to be as great as Conan with the remote pieces, but I'd like to see how he does with those.

He might not do the Fallon thing where you really use the internet and focus on skits and sketches that you can play on Youtube the next day, the History of Rap, lip sync, all those games, etc., and that's fine. Fallon found that niche and took advantage but it's not a show I want to watch from beginning to end. I definitely  find myself wanting to watch Colbert just because I love his personality and humor. Same with Conan, but Conan's settled into his comfortable groove and often time his guests suck because he's on TBS so you sometimes get a bit of a lower rung of star.. or you get the mega celebrity once their movie already came out

Show's been good. Obviously not the Colbert Report but it's clear he's trying to touch on that and stray away from it with other stuff.

We all know he's a god interviewer.

A real emotional interview with Joe Biden. Good stuff with Schumer and ScarJo. Typical stuff with Musk.

One thing I'm really impressed with is his band. They're really good. I dunno maybe cuz I just like their theme music on top of how John Baptiste performs but add that with the theme music and intro I'm digging it all rather quickly.

Yea that's right.

I remember you mentioning that in the Oscar Thread.

That's dope. Dude is pimp. Dope for her too. Good things happen to good people man.

Anyone looking forward to the bastard executioner?
Emily Ratajkowski is bae.

I am looking forward to watching it. Plus I'm a major SOA fan so I am definitely intrigued by it.

Also rewatching SOA, I never noticed how many clues they give the viewers. I still hate this ***** Gemma. She pisses me off so damn much.

While Emily is awesome eye candy :hat, I find it hilarious that champcruthik champcruthik just pops in randomly in here to post her pics and then disappears until the next round of pics. :lol

Keep it up though, man.

Only thing I got to watch on Tuesdays now since Tyrant ended and that had me in a nice Tuesday groove.

I'm interested but not hyped. I know as little as possible and that's the way I wanted it. I'm hoping to be surprised and impressed and for it not to just be FX cashing in on the praise Vikings has gotten and the obvious success Game of Thrones has received.

Who was that lame guy who complained about her nipples? He needed to get his kufi smacked and eyes poked out by big nipples.

I'm hoping the bastard executioner is good. soa started out so well but sutter relied so much on shock value and ridiculous writing that the later seasons were pure crap.

I will never forget that.

I came straight out of the theater and hopped in this thread to post my approval of the nips, and my distaste for that particular post.

Nipples are a Z on a scale of 1-10

Any quick movie suggestions? New/old/doesn't matter. Feel like laughing and want a movie, not just more House of Cards or Daredevil on Netflix.

I'm not in the mood for anything I think

I started Fast Five and turned it off after like 20 minutes, just not in the mood. I think I'm good with Pixar movies after my non-stop marathon a few weeks ago. The downside to binge watching a new TV show is you can lose an entire day or night without realizing it. Oh.. another episode or two and I'm good, and my entire day off is gone like that

I did work out and get a haircut, but still just hung out and watched some House of Cards and that's about it.
