Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I love Chef, it's definitely one of my go-to, feel good movies. It also always puts me in the mood to cook and I like playing the soundtrack whenever I'm in the kitchen for awhile making something.

^^^ Don't watch Case 39, which is a "horror" movie with Rene Zellwegger that I just watched with my wife on TV. One of the most implausible movies I've ever seen - even for a horror movie. And not scary either. Just a fail all around, despite having Renee, Bradley Cooper and Ian McShane.

BTW, have you seen Fury Road? I just watched it last weekend, but can't wait to see it again.

But my go-tos when there's nothing on are Anchorman, Tommy Boy, Along Came Poly, any Harry Potter movie and Jaws.

Any quick movie suggestions? New/old/doesn't matter. Feel like laughing and want a movie, not just more House of Cards or Daredevil on Netflix.

I'm not in the mood for anything I think :lol  I started Fast Five and turned it off after like 20 minutes, just not in the mood. I think I'm good with Pixar movies after my non-stop marathon a few weeks ago. The downside to binge watching a new TV show is you can lose an entire day or night without realizing it. Oh.. another episode or two and I'm good, and my entire day off is gone like that :lol

I did work out and get a haircut, but still just hung out and watched some House of Cards and that's about it.

John Wick, The Breakup, Something About Mary, Point Break, Roadhouse, Layer Cake, Wedding Crashers, This Is Where I Leave You......

Fast Six
White House Down
National Treasure 1 or 2
Gone in Sixty Seconds
Jack Reacher
Casino
Goodfellas

Been on a 2007 movies only binge lately. Damn that was a good year. Pick one of these gems.

(pretty sure 1 or 2 Harry Potters came out that year)
Sweeney Todd
Hot Fuzz
Shooter
Juno
Gone Baby Gone
I am Legend
Death Proof
28 Weeks Later
Knocked Up
Mr Brooks
DARJEELING LIMITED

Boondock Saints
Office Space
Big Daddy
American Beauty
American Pie
Dogma (Kevin Smith's last good movie)
Blair Witch Project

just to name a few

Yo, heads up about this trailer. I just watched it and I feel like there's some spoilers in there. Ala Southpaw's trailer giving away the whole movie and Genisys.

Man, it kinda confirmed my suspicions...
about Rocky probably dying and passing the torch to Creed. Hoping that I'm wrong.  Paulie

So Matt Damon thinks the only way to be diverse in film is to have a diverse cast in the film not a diverse group of ppl making the film.

:rolleyes

:{

:x

The video clip is a perfect example of what's wrong in Hollywood when it comes to minorities.

What clip are you referring to? I'm not seeing it posted.

I heard about this around 4 today and had just got around to posting it in here instead of making a thread about it. Apparently the vid (or the episode) has been out since yesterday and Matt has been getting torn a part on the internet all day, especially on twitter.

Peep the hashtag #Damonsplaining

Found a vid I could embed

Of course the focus that's being highlighted is Damon saying diversity should be on screen not behind the camera.

If you're not familiar with Project Greenlight, it's a basically film competition show where a bunch of writers, producers, and filmmakers take like a script and then choose amongst a bunch of hopeful directors to make a movie out of the subject. In a sense they're all playing execs choosing a director to helm a movie they want to produce.
