Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Yeaaaaaaaaah, I dunno though.  I was excited to see DeNiro and Pacino when they did Righteous Kill too, and then...........

It's just not the same anymore ya know?

I guess I hope to see it happen and all, but I just have a feeling it could be just more pain, more longing for the early 90's when Goodfellas and Casino, and Heat were comin out every other year.

(ie: Goodfellas, Heat, The Godfather, Scareface, & Casino, Once Upon a Time In America, just to name a few).  Righteous Kill 100min.

The difference is Scorsese. Righteous Kill didn't have a legend behind the camera.

Hanks can carry a big-budget film but he is still one of the most overrated actors relative to his reputation.

Saw the A-Team yesterday...... it was a lot better than I was anticipating. I was actually surprised all the critics +@!@ on it.

Cpt. Murdock (played by Sharlto Copley) completely stole the show. I don't know, I liked the movie. Thought the visuals were good as well.

I liked A-Team as well.  Lot better then I though.
Faster was actually better then I expected too.  The Rock says like 11 words, but other then that, for 90 minutes or whatever, it was a decent popcorn flick.  Wouldn't spend a nickel on it, watched it for free, but hey.

The Mechanic aka Transporter 4 was decent in the same respect as well.  90 minutes, some action, blow stuff up, shoot bad guys, wrap.  Free also.

Free has a lot to do with my evaluations........

Kev, Sugar is recording on my DVR as we speak.  I'll try to get to that tonight, if not, it will be soon.  Also getting Winter's bone located.  (that don't sound right, but whatever)

Aye, I get the director stuff with Pacino and DeNiro.  Ok, fine.  But they 60.  I wasn't afraid of Clint's old brittle bones in his last movie, why would I fear these two old dudes now?  That's what I'm sayin, it's just not the same.

I said it in the NBA thread, we need a new era cast to do some work.  The Departed showed me it could be done, hell even Takers showed me a lil bit.  Gimme Leo, Damon, Ben proved he still has somethin, Paul Walker, Scott Caan, and whoever else you can think of, late 20's, early 30's that can act and pull off some action, put them together in LA, NY, Mia, or Boston, give them an angle, and make that movie.  Mob,banks, drugs, weapons, whatever the item that needs to be handled, and we can pretend like it's the Goodfellas era all over again for a minute.  It can be done, someone just has to have the clout to round all those schedules up, and get a script.

It's my goal in life to write that script, CP, and have it take place in Chicago. Just haven't found the inspiration for it yet.

Yeah, I've been meaning to check it out too ever since I heard it was about a crystal meth dealer (or something along those lines). I just feel bad about donwloading indie's so I'll probably buy it and watch some time soon.

De Niro worries me more than Pacino, but both should be able to dig deep for one last go around with Marty. Keitel could be the one to steal the show, though, if he has anything left.

Charlie Sheen's first verified tweet is a picture, and he happens to be wearing an Indians hat in it.
