If it's one movie this year I'm mad I didn't go see in theaters, it's Dunkirk. :{

Day 1 4K Blu-ray cop, though.

I'll contribue, no particular order...

  • Baby Driver
  • The Big Sick
  • Logan
  • Get Out

  • Brawl in Cellblock 99
  • RAW
  • The Founder
  • Wonder Woman
  • It Comes at Night
Haven't seen Three Billboards. PS - December/January look like amazing months for films.

Watched a few minutes of the great wall. Looks visually beautiful. The different colors of the soldiers’ armor and the landscape effects are great.

i probably didn't watch too many academy award contenders this year. heck, i still didn't even see blade runner and there are quite a few on my to see list. here's some of the movies that i did see and enjoyed:
get out
war for the planet of the apes
the red turtle
wind river

there's a bunch more that liked but those come to mind.

visuals were pretty cool. movie was blah. acting was terrible.

Just watched bronx tale. 5/5 Loved it.
Y'all have any related movie reccomendations?
Recommendation doesn't have to be mafia related, just looking for a good story film.
I've seen goodfellas, donnie drasco, carlito's way,
I've not seen godfather, caSINO,

Murder on the Orient Express was great, thought praising Kenneth Branagh for his acting is worth noting because I haven't seen a performance like that in a while. And he directed it. Just a really fun time at the movies.

Just finished episode 4 of punisher

HBO’s chronological rendition if you can find it, too.

Masterpiece.

Watching The Big Sick now... it's excellent and I'm happy to see Kumail Nanjiani doing well and this movie getting the recognition and success.

Also, caught Jim and Andy yesterday and it was surprisingly good. It made me realize how much I have always liked Jim Carrey.

I need to watch Coco again, I drifted in and out for like ten or fifteen minutes because I had worked early in the morning and saw it late at night. I really enjoyed it though, Pixar is pretty remarkable in how they can take you on a journey that you never thought you'd go on. A movie about a kid going to the after life and trying to become a musician? Then base it around the Day of the Dead and Mexican culture? Then have it be a visually stunning movie and warm and funny? They were just firmly in their bag with this one. Well done.

Rise of the Footsoldier. Layer Cake. Not mafia movies but British gangster films.
